<br />
I have to tell you working really takes up a little too much time for my taste. I would much rather be crafting and blogging and I realize I have been a bad blogger. None the less, I hope you enjoy this post and try making some of your own wontons!<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GaGCALpO8JI/Uo_FesFSjQI/AAAAAAAACdM/tYxye3L28nI/s1600/IMG_4401.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a><br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GaGCALpO8JI/Uo_FesFSjQI/AAAAAAAACdM/tYxye3L28nI/s1600/IMG_4401.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GaGCALpO8JI/Uo_FesFSjQI/AAAAAAAACdM/tYxye3L28nI/s1600/IMG_4401.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GaGCALpO8JI/Uo_FesFSjQI/AAAAAAAACdM/tYxye3L28nI/s320/IMG_4401.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Materials:<br />
- 1 Pound Ground Pork<br />
- Scallions<br />
- Nappa Cabbage<br />
- 2 Wonton skins packs (square, and defrosted)<br />
- Chopping board and knife<br />
- Mixing bowl<br />
- Large Plate<br />
- Seasame oil<br />
- and Egg<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
These are the items I used, but you can change around the ingredients!<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2MiMbkiDLSE/Uo_FgoK1hMI/AAAAAAAACdQ/7o_qriWtf4g/s1600/IMG_4405.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2MiMbkiDLSE/Uo_FgoK1hMI/AAAAAAAACdQ/7o_qriWtf4g/s320/IMG_4405.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<u></u><br />
1. Wash your hands and get excited to make some wontons! First, chop up your veggies. For me, I chopped around half of my small nappa cabbage, and 2 stalks of scallion. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
2. Mix your ground pork and veggies together in a large mixing bowl.<br />
<br />
3. Beat up an egg and mix that into the wonton filling mixture. This egg will help cheap everything togeher! You can also drop in som seasme oil for some of the extra flavor. A little goes a long way. :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4QVqHbJjc3U/Uo_Fk3lRgoI/AAAAAAAACdg/3oGjkVKUf4I/s1600/IMG_4415.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"></a><br /></div>
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4QVqHbJjc3U/Uo_Fk3lRgoI/AAAAAAAACdg/3oGjkVKUf4I/s1600/IMG_4415.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4QVqHbJjc3U/Uo_Fk3lRgoI/AAAAAAAACdg/3oGjkVKUf4I/s320/IMG_4415.JPG" width="239" /></a><br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7YlsB9wMCrc/Uo_Fi2B2pWI/AAAAAAAACdU/pxQMya6aROI/s1600/IMG_4409.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="239" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7YlsB9wMCrc/Uo_Fi2B2pWI/AAAAAAAACdU/pxQMya6aROI/s320/IMG_4409.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gjCeiIbH_5U/Uo_IAtR0amI/AAAAAAAACek/_F5msa-3Olg/s1600/IMG_4419.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><br /></div>
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gjCeiIbH_5U/Uo_IAtR0amI/AAAAAAAACek/_F5msa-3Olg/s1600/IMG_4419.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gjCeiIbH_5U/Uo_IAtR0amI/AAAAAAAACek/_F5msa-3Olg/s320/IMG_4419.JPG" width="239" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
4. Now you can start foling in you wonton filling into those wonton skins! I used about 2 packs of wonton skins, but depending on how much filling you want to use for each wonton, you may use more or less. The trick is to use all the filling and the skins without leftovers! <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
5. Now, boil your homemade wontons for about 10 min and set the table for a nice, balanced meal! (There are meat and veggies in there!)<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gjCeiIbH_5U/Uo_IAtR0amI/AAAAAAAACek/_F5msa-3Olg/s1600/IMG_4419.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Make sure your wonton skins have defrosted all the way. <br />
- Chop the vegetables as finely as you can, I enjoy "hiding" the vegetables in my wontons, so you won't have a crunch when you're eating. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-A6n3fkTKWCk/Uo_Fw6yr1WI/AAAAAAAACdk/vo24TaR8AgY/s1600/IMG_4418.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-A6n3fkTKWCk/Uo_Fw6yr1WI/AAAAAAAACdk/vo24TaR8AgY/s320/IMG_4418.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I really like making wontons because you know it's healthy, you can trick yourself (and family) into eating vegetables without them really knowing (or caring, because they're that good!) Usually I'd make a soup base (I threw some of that extra nappa cabbage into the soup), but you can serve them on a plate and have dipping sauces as well.<br />
<br />
<br />
I hope you enjoy your meals!!<br />
<br />
<br />
Alison :)<br />

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
Hi everyone! Today's post is for all my ladies out there (and for any men that are curious and want to try this too). I've been asked how I curl my hair a few times by friends and co-workers so I figured I'd share it with you! I have very straight, thick hair so I'm sure that this can work for anyone! Keep on reading for how to curl your hair with a curling wand.</div>

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<u>Steps:</u></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
1. First plug in your curling wand. While it heats up, brush your hair so that there aren't any knots or tangles and prep your hair with heat protecting sprays or serums. You should also take time to part your hair. I part my hair to the side, but you have a center part that's no problem! I would also part your hair in the back and clip it to one side. Depending on how thick your hair is and how much hair you have, take the top section of your hair and clip it as well (I'll be doing this ^.^). </div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br />
</div>
</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3PyEmpP7I8w/UX8kVzMK4iI/AAAAAAAACZE/8_-vbyl4XKs/s1600/IMG_3777.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3PyEmpP7I8w/UX8kVzMK4iI/AAAAAAAACZE/8_-vbyl4XKs/s200/IMG_3777.JPG" width="150" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2CdruPXM8VY/UX8kZxA81QI/AAAAAAAACZg/hTUaMVjIAnA/s1600/IMG_3779.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2CdruPXM8VY/UX8kZxA81QI/AAAAAAAACZg/hTUaMVjIAnA/s200/IMG_3779.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IHas_0Q5ctk/UX8kW7v8iwI/AAAAAAAACZI/kh3pwDbCYJM/s1600/IMG_3781.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IHas_0Q5ctk/UX8kW7v8iwI/AAAAAAAACZI/kh3pwDbCYJM/s200/IMG_3781.JPG" width="150" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
2. Now we can start curling! Take a small section of hair and begin wrapping it around your wand so that your hair curls away from your face. It's important to know that the wand is a cone shape and should be held so that the larger width is at the top of the curled section. The smallest part of the wand should be at the ends of your hair. <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IHSFNzwQbZo/UX8kY4361II/AAAAAAAACZQ/A9SA9MmCKfg/s1600/IMG_3782.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-IHSFNzwQbZo/UX8kY4361II/AAAAAAAACZQ/A9SA9MmCKfg/s200/IMG_3782.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q5ivhsYOkZM/UX8kabogk1I/AAAAAAAACZk/H8CYzVy9WEc/s1600/IMG_3783.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-q5ivhsYOkZM/UX8kabogk1I/AAAAAAAACZk/H8CYzVy9WEc/s200/IMG_3783.JPG" width="121" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NUcuCBUhsZ4/UX8kajV5FpI/AAAAAAAACZs/SfvVHP3oNQg/s1600/IMG_3786.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NUcuCBUhsZ4/UX8kajV5FpI/AAAAAAAACZs/SfvVHP3oNQg/s200/IMG_3786.JPG" width="142" /></a></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<br />
3. Again, you should curl your hair away from your face, meaning your hair should go over and then under the curling wand as it wraps around. Here I've finished the first section! (I still have the other side and the top section of my hair to curl...)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-T82EqtRYuvI/UX8kbNEkQeI/AAAAAAAACaE/IXrYOZyqiJ8/s1600/IMG_3789.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-T82EqtRYuvI/UX8kbNEkQeI/AAAAAAAACaE/IXrYOZyqiJ8/s200/IMG_3789.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X3PO7HXR1jQ/UX8kayly4-I/AAAAAAAACZw/cHCLggtru-k/s1600/IMG_3790.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-X3PO7HXR1jQ/UX8kayly4-I/AAAAAAAACZw/cHCLggtru-k/s200/IMG_3790.JPG" width="162" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R4mDVYJYcVc/UX8kbNoMULI/AAAAAAAACZ8/zT3CiV1pazU/s1600/IMG_3792.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-R4mDVYJYcVc/UX8kbNoMULI/AAAAAAAACZ8/zT3CiV1pazU/s200/IMG_3792.JPG" width="145" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">
4. Now you can curl the other side. You will still be curling your hair away from your face, but since its on the side of your face, curl the "opposite" way. See pics below! </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nMHL0kRoTJY/UX8kb_uT5SI/AAAAAAAACaI/-1W3QJSg9gw/s1600/IMG_3794.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nMHL0kRoTJY/UX8kb_uT5SI/AAAAAAAACaI/-1W3QJSg9gw/s200/IMG_3794.JPG" width="153" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nypz5q86060/UX8kdNKjP2I/AAAAAAAACao/Apwde5Z5sXY/s1600/IMG_3795.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nypz5q86060/UX8kdNKjP2I/AAAAAAAACao/Apwde5Z5sXY/s200/IMG_3795.JPG" width="162" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nkRWG8FS-m4/UX8kczmezkI/AAAAAAAACag/o50iyJyatW8/s1600/IMG_3796.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nkRWG8FS-m4/UX8kczmezkI/AAAAAAAACag/o50iyJyatW8/s200/IMG_3796.JPG" width="136" /></a></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
If you still have your hair clipped up (like me!) Go ahead and unclip, and curl both sides of the top as well.<br />
<br />
<br />
5. Here's the fun part, hair spray! Flip, spary, flip, scrunch, comb!<br />
<br />
<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
What I've learned:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
- When you start curing the top sections, start curling a few inches down (not right at the top of your head). Otherwise you will end up with more of a "poodle" curl instead of looser, face-framing waves. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
- If your curls aren't staying, try smaller sections each time you curl. With less hair, the heat will penetrate more of your hair and it will keep the hair curly longer. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
- Be careful not to burn yourself!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Kd58tI0xSx4/UX8keX5msvI/AAAAAAAACa4/74pk1IKyXFs/s1600/IMG_3802.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Kd58tI0xSx4/UX8keX5msvI/AAAAAAAACa4/74pk1IKyXFs/s320/IMG_3802.JPG" width="181" /></a> </div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
My good friend actually showed me how to curl my hair so I hope this helps all of you who had trouble before! My hair is very stubborn but it seems to like Curling Wands! You can try and experiment with your Curling Wand by making tighter and looser curls, for an even more natural look! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: left;">
I love changing up my hairstyle and I'm sure you guys do too!</div>

If you live a fast paced lifestyle, or you're just really hungry and can't wait to eat (or both hehe) then this can definitely help. If you are as impatient as me and you love pasta, keep reading!</div>

I used to always boil water in a large pot to make pasta, but with Angle hair and other long pastas's, it's a lot faster to boil the water in a pan! There's not only less water to heat up but there also more surface area over the burner to heat the pan. <br />

<u>Steps:</u></div>

</div>
</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; text-align: left;">
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">

<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
1. Lay your pasta in the pan and turn on the stove to high heat. Right after, pour in your cold/room temp water. You don't need to wait for the water to boil before putting in the pasta! <br />
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">

2. Stir your pasta every once in awhile. While your pasta's cooking, cook your other ingredients on the side so that they'll be done at the same time.</div>

3. Strain out the water in your pasta and mix it in with your already prepared ingredients! At this point, I would add a little more olive oil so the pasta doesn't stick to each other. </div>

Hi everyone! I wanted to post this before Valentine's Day incase you wanted to get a little festive but didn't know how! I'm going to show you an easy way to paint an Heart Accent Nail. Hope you like it! ^.^<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
<br />
- 2 shades of nail polish (I used grey and pink!)<br />
- Tape<br />
- Scissors<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-a9UGKdIioSU/URxIkpa-Z0I/AAAAAAAACSg/NTocGlQTjNs/s1600/IMG_3317.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-a9UGKdIioSU/URxIkpa-Z0I/AAAAAAAACSg/NTocGlQTjNs/s200/IMG_3317.JPG" width="149" /></a><u></u><br />
<u><u><br /></u></u>
<u><u><br /></u></u>
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. First paint your base color on your nails like you normally would. I used a subdued grey color as a base, but you could use red or pink if you wanted to really jazz up your finger nails for Valentine's Day!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
2. Once your nails are dry, take a piece of tape and fold it in half. Keep in mind you'll have to be able to pull it apart though! <br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XNfdunKmcTs/URxIplZOqDI/AAAAAAAACSw/kive_JRoqZw/s1600/IMG_3322.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XNfdunKmcTs/URxIplZOqDI/AAAAAAAACSw/kive_JRoqZw/s200/IMG_3322.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aKBvB7By-40/URxIkvt5z-I/AAAAAAAACSk/aNPdHoS01pk/s1600/IMG_3320.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aKBvB7By-40/URxIkvt5z-I/AAAAAAAACSk/aNPdHoS01pk/s200/IMG_3320.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. Now cut half a heart onto the folded part of your tape. Then open up your tape to find a heart shape cut out! I love this because there is no need for you to go out and buy a scrapbooking "heart hole punch", unless you have one already...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-i4PBLSuvCfI/URxIrYKN8mI/AAAAAAAACTA/8oS2TJ_iaM0/s1600/IMG_3323.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-i4PBLSuvCfI/URxIrYKN8mI/AAAAAAAACTA/8oS2TJ_iaM0/s200/IMG_3323.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1HGi_6emeWU/URxIpy7fRoI/AAAAAAAACS0/JhSDTfSJwto/s1600/IMG_3325.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1HGi_6emeWU/URxIpy7fRoI/AAAAAAAACS0/JhSDTfSJwto/s200/IMG_3325.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HWjol38Ww_c/URxIvJJQg8I/AAAAAAAACTU/tkv1fKK_Fog/s1600/IMG_3327.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HWjol38Ww_c/URxIvJJQg8I/AAAAAAAACTU/tkv1fKK_Fog/s200/IMG_3327.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
4. Tape that piece of tape over the nail you want to accent. With your accent color (I used pink), paint over the heart. If it gets on the tape no worries! I ended up putting it on my index finger nail on one hand and the ring finger nail on my other hand! Trying to keep things exciting, hehe.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6wzyA3NvCpI/URxIz1O3i5I/AAAAAAAACTk/wb7dDJ8jXAc/s1600/IMG_3331.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6wzyA3NvCpI/URxIz1O3i5I/AAAAAAAACTk/wb7dDJ8jXAc/s200/IMG_3331.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QEgbknl7jV4/URxI4H5nAWI/AAAAAAAACT0/CyIh84r51G4/s1600/IMG_3332.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-QEgbknl7jV4/URxI4H5nAWI/AAAAAAAACT0/CyIh84r51G4/s200/IMG_3332.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
5. Take the tape off and voila! a perfect Heart Accent!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rPFYiHBpvaw/URxI7n99d6I/AAAAAAAACUM/6f6rfFcuR-4/s1600/IMG_3339.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rPFYiHBpvaw/URxI7n99d6I/AAAAAAAACUM/6f6rfFcuR-4/s320/IMG_3339.JPG" width="238" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Make sure your base color is completely dry! The tape could peel some of it off if you didn't wait long enough.<br />
- When you fold your tape in half, fold it off center so that it'll be easier to pull it apart. <br />
- When you paint the heart, try to use minimal nail polish. if you gob it on, it might smear when you take off the tape. <br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-n5fWCIekgnc/URxI6FIcu5I/AAAAAAAACUE/WL1xR96cafk/s1600/IMG_3338.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-n5fWCIekgnc/URxI6FIcu5I/AAAAAAAACUE/WL1xR96cafk/s200/IMG_3338.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
I am by no means a Nail Guru (a beginner if anything!) and I think this is a great step to trying much more elaborate details. I'm going to keep trying to improve and show you more quick and easy ways to "pretty up" your nails! I really like how my nails turned out and I hope you like this simple techinque too! :)<br />
<br />
<br />
Happy almost Valentine's Day!<br />

For those of you who enjoy making your own jewelry specifically necklaces and bracelets, this might be able to help you! This is super easy to do so I hope you try it out!</div>
<br />
Materials:<br />
- Bead/beads<br />
- String<br />
<br />
<br />
I love that this can make the simplest jewelry a little more versatile!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Dj7EehH5pX0/UI9Ohd9BN-I/AAAAAAAABtU/Cgc1HBaIM-Q/s1600/IMG_2234.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Dj7EehH5pX0/UI9Ohd9BN-I/AAAAAAAABtU/Cgc1HBaIM-Q/s200/IMG_2234.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
1. Tie a simple "Overhand Knot" with one end of your string to the other end.</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nQQz-fHcBcc/UI9OkXXmyHI/AAAAAAAABtc/fAo-lOKLuVM/s1600/IMG_2235.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nQQz-fHcBcc/UI9OkXXmyHI/AAAAAAAABtc/fAo-lOKLuVM/s200/IMG_2235.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
2. With your loose end, do the same thing on the other end of the string (that you just tied). You should be able to move the knots along the string! This allows you to adjust the length of your jewelry!</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
Great! Here's what your necklace/jewelry should look like:</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NPeRSogAPpk/UPNAMaRrMHI/AAAAAAAACQ4/bAPr-DfLEbs/s1600/IMG_3174.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NPeRSogAPpk/UPNAMaRrMHI/AAAAAAAACQ4/bAPr-DfLEbs/s200/IMG_3174.JPG" width="174" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Make sure you use the right kind of rope or string. You don't want anything easily frayed or roughed up!<br />
<br />
<br />
This is great for simple necklaces and bracelets! I really like that you can wear the necklace long or short depending on your outfit. I hope you enjoyed this post and that you use it too! :)<br />
<br />
Keep on crafting!<br />

I know it's been awhile and I promise to try my best to blog more! I've bee doing a lot more reading on my commute to work and decided to make myself a simple, yet functional bookmark! This corner bookmark is super easy to make and you can really personalize it and make it your own. Keep on reading to see how to make one! :)<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mZd4j7-QoNI/UPMzoiU5mYI/AAAAAAAACOQ/OWkLk0y8zBI/s1600/IMG_3156.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mZd4j7-QoNI/UPMzoiU5mYI/AAAAAAAACOQ/OWkLk0y8zBI/s200/IMG_3156.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
Materials:<br />
- Ruler<br />
- Scissors<br />
- Paper <br />
-Tape/glue<br />
- Markers, pens, pencils etc.<br />
<br />
<br />
I used a plain sheet of paper but you can use cardstock or construction paper of any color to personalize your bookmark! Make it really fun!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VaaW7e0mzE4/UPMzmc7vbcI/AAAAAAAACOA/805RhZU1pxM/s1600/IMG_3159.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="165" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-VaaW7e0mzE4/UPMzmc7vbcI/AAAAAAAACOA/805RhZU1pxM/s200/IMG_3159.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Using my ruler, I cut the sheet of paper down into a 5x5 square. Then I trimmed the edges so that they were even on both sides, like in the picture below.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5G2SYq2a8ug/UPMzqS-Q33I/AAAAAAAACOY/t3qRWKaaym8/s1600/IMG_3161.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5G2SYq2a8ug/UPMzqS-Q33I/AAAAAAAACOY/t3qRWKaaym8/s200/IMG_3161.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
2. Now (this gets a little weird to descibe), cut what would be a small square out of one side of your paper. You should have an "arrow" shape now!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5OtJ3UM-dFc/UPMzrY9s2dI/AAAAAAAACOg/cOzptWKCeeY/s1600/IMG_3162.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5OtJ3UM-dFc/UPMzrY9s2dI/AAAAAAAACOg/cOzptWKCeeY/s200/IMG_3162.JPG" width="189" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3. Fold the two ends of your "arrow" down so that you have a small square! After the second flap, take some tape or glue to secure it in place. Double sided tape works well or roll up your tape so that you won't be able to see it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
4. Decorate and personalize your bookmark! I wanted to keep mine fairly simple but decided to write a quote about reading on the back. Cheesy, I know... :)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JcoyMeSHg80/UPMztBi5x9I/AAAAAAAACOw/i_J7rk8nymY/s1600/IMG_3163.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JcoyMeSHg80/UPMztBi5x9I/AAAAAAAACOw/i_J7rk8nymY/s200/IMG_3163.JPG" width="196" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tbBq9OMRllI/UPMztnQdBPI/AAAAAAAACO0/RLEDkknT_3k/s1600/IMG_3164.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tbBq9OMRllI/UPMztnQdBPI/AAAAAAAACO0/RLEDkknT_3k/s200/IMG_3164.JPG" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Here's my Corner Bookmark!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-owSroev0DSU/UPMzwrGWewI/AAAAAAAACPA/Cfx1X3Xn5HM/s1600/IMG_3166.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-owSroev0DSU/UPMzwrGWewI/AAAAAAAACPA/Cfx1X3Xn5HM/s200/IMG_3166.JPG" width="160" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dk3sAvDrRpI/UPMzx_7l4AI/AAAAAAAACPM/r_wjBenkMHA/s1600/IMG_3165.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dk3sAvDrRpI/UPMzx_7l4AI/AAAAAAAACPM/r_wjBenkMHA/s200/IMG_3165.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Mark your measurements down in pencil lightly. They help a lot and you can go back to erase them.<br />
- Whie plain paper works pretty well, I think using cardstock would be better especially if you want your bookmark to last you a long time.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AFSwJo4w_rw/UPMzxgGhMlI/AAAAAAAACPI/DSXssXbyneY/s1600/IMG_3167.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AFSwJo4w_rw/UPMzxgGhMlI/AAAAAAAACPI/DSXssXbyneY/s200/IMG_3167.JPG" width="179" /></a><br />
I've recently started reading a lot more books which is actually part of my New Year's Resolution so this DIY Corner Bookmark project was great! I hope you liked this simple craft and that you try it out for yourself. What books are you guys reading and do you have any recommendations?<br />

'Tis the season to be crafting! I tried making my own Paper Gift Bow this year because it's not only cheap but you can reuse paper that you were going to throw away anyways. Hope you get a chance to make some for this gift giving season!<br />
<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
- Sheet of paper<br />
- Scissors<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4DgM3X-0L-U/UNEQLqsXNsI/AAAAAAAACLU/H89q-gAGfgo/s1600/IMG_3006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4DgM3X-0L-U/UNEQLqsXNsI/AAAAAAAACLU/H89q-gAGfgo/s200/IMG_3006.JPG" width="200" /></a>- Tape<br />
- Stapler<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Cut your paper strips out! You will need: <br />
<br />
- 3 long strips/width of the sheet of paper (mine was 8.5 inches) <br />
- 3 shorter strips (7.5 inches)<br />
- 3 even shorter strips (6.5 inches)<br />
- 1 very short strip (2.5 inches)<br />
<br />
Depending on the size you want to make your bow, change up the measurements. Also the wider the strips the more difficult it might be to twist, so keep that in mind!<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-q_eKMLmFG8U/UNEQSi2WOrI/AAAAAAAACLs/E0r_xuoti4k/s1600/IMG_3009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-q_eKMLmFG8U/UNEQSi2WOrI/AAAAAAAACLs/E0r_xuoti4k/s200/IMG_3009.JPG" width="196" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5UqPFA_XYUE/UNEQPV2CqlI/AAAAAAAACLc/6AZst5F_G_A/s1600/IMG_3007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5UqPFA_XYUE/UNEQPV2CqlI/AAAAAAAACLc/6AZst5F_G_A/s200/IMG_3007.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
<br />
2. Take each strip and twist both sides so that the ends meet in the middle. Do each side one at a time and tape it so they won't move. Leave that little piece for later. Hopefully my pictures will help!<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<<<<<<<<< >>>>>>>>></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3. After you make all your pieces, put together each layer (of 3 pieces of the same size) so that they kind of make a 6 petaled flower. Then staple all of them together. Largest one on the bottom, with the other two on top. Take the smallest strip and make a loop, holding together with tape. This will be in the middle of the bow, covering the staple. ;) Don't know if I'm making sense but I'm trying to... Pictures always help!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6gb-_CLdDD8/UNEQVJL9K2I/AAAAAAAACL0/cVumH8UXqwM/s1600/IMG_3010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6gb-_CLdDD8/UNEQVJL9K2I/AAAAAAAACL0/cVumH8UXqwM/s200/IMG_3010.JPG" width="171" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZEwpFiP8bso/UNEQXIvy5QI/AAAAAAAACL8/HxtNqMpFd_Q/s1600/IMG_3011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZEwpFiP8bso/UNEQXIvy5QI/AAAAAAAACL8/HxtNqMpFd_Q/s200/IMG_3011.JPG" width="188" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Here's my first Paper Gift Bow!<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SmO3_7-xTcQ/UNEQY1951mI/AAAAAAAACME/WTF6ijevikg/s1600/IMG_3012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="312" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-SmO3_7-xTcQ/UNEQY1951mI/AAAAAAAACME/WTF6ijevikg/s320/IMG_3012.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
-You can have pointy corners or rounded ones depending on how tightly you decide to twist your paper strips before taping them.<br />
- I tried to twist them together more so that the corners would be pointy! <br />
- Card stock might be a good alternative to paper if you want a "tougher" bow.<br />
<br />
<br />
Why not recycle and save money at the same time! Added bonus: impress your relatives with you're crazy craftin' skills! <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I liked this project so much! I want to try making similar stuff especially around the holiday season! Stay tuned for more! </div>

Today's DIY project is one that I've been itching to do for awhile now... a removable Peter Pan collar! I decided I wanted to make a super sparkly piece of statement jewelry for New Years and here's what I came up with. This project is a little more time consuming but it is totally worth it! Keep reading to see what I did and try it out for yourself! :)<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-itWG-D6FKqs/UM5eLDQiwKI/AAAAAAAACG0/2iuhZHvf5kk/s1600/IMG_2974.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-itWG-D6FKqs/UM5eLDQiwKI/AAAAAAAACG0/2iuhZHvf5kk/s200/IMG_2974.JPG" width="170" /></a><br />
Materials:<br />
- Glue <br />
- Magazine/scrap paper <br />
- Small beads<br />
- Ribbon<br />
- Pen<br />
- Felt <br />
- Scissors I chose colors that I thought could be versatile,<br />
- Corkscrew but had a some glitz to it!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Draw out a template on a piece of scrap paper. I folded mine in half, drew out one side of the collar and cut it out so that both sides would be the same. Using a pen, trace the paper cut-out onto your felt! Cut that out once you're done.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SW1wraV4ims/UM5eMhe3F-I/AAAAAAAACG8/05X5vWoeeLs/s1600/IMG_2975.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SW1wraV4ims/UM5eMhe3F-I/AAAAAAAACG8/05X5vWoeeLs/s200/IMG_2975.JPG" width="162" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZQWnXwcPeWU/UM5eOOkn8VI/AAAAAAAACHE/XiofJiKkQJI/s1600/IMG_2976.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZQWnXwcPeWU/UM5eOOkn8VI/AAAAAAAACHE/XiofJiKkQJI/s200/IMG_2976.JPG" width="172" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ig-gb9zN6xg/UM5ePQt7NYI/AAAAAAAACHM/qrRDu9NGrs8/s1600/IMG_2977.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ig-gb9zN6xg/UM5ePQt7NYI/AAAAAAAACHM/qrRDu9NGrs8/s200/IMG_2977.JPG" width="190" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
2. Now's the tricky part, take your glue and slowly glue on your beads. I did small sections at a time, spreading the glue and sprinkling the beads over it and filling in the spaces afterwards. During this step, make sure your beads are laying flat!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MaQ9gzM0_eo/UM5eQoNu9NI/AAAAAAAACHU/lRAaAzQMwlg/s1600/IMG_2978.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MaQ9gzM0_eo/UM5eQoNu9NI/AAAAAAAACHU/lRAaAzQMwlg/s200/IMG_2978.JPG" width="186" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-teJbtdr_ocI/UM5eTjI_1II/AAAAAAAACHc/eFTRAAbTCvs/s1600/IMG_2979.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-teJbtdr_ocI/UM5eTjI_1II/AAAAAAAACHc/eFTRAAbTCvs/s200/IMG_2979.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-npYL2zl_ZrQ/UM5eVE6lWBI/AAAAAAAACHk/AhRCfijEGQQ/s1600/IMG_2982.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="196" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-npYL2zl_ZrQ/UM5eVE6lWBI/AAAAAAAACHk/AhRCfijEGQQ/s200/IMG_2982.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. This part was actually a little difficult for me too. You have to decide how you want to fasten the collar around your neck. I went with ribbon! Using a corkscrew (resourceful maybe?), I poked 2 small holes to the trimmed ends of my collar. With one ribbon, I looped it through the 2 holes and tied it in a bow. This way, it'll still be adjustable!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WpRoFEtY2Vs/UM5eWJGLCsI/AAAAAAAACHs/ecZjO3FofPk/s1600/IMG_2983.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WpRoFEtY2Vs/UM5eWJGLCsI/AAAAAAAACHs/ecZjO3FofPk/s200/IMG_2983.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-D-FJ6xVM_oo/UM5eYnusInI/AAAAAAAACH0/iwINvvfVHyI/s1600/IMG_2985.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-D-FJ6xVM_oo/UM5eYnusInI/AAAAAAAACH0/iwINvvfVHyI/s200/IMG_2985.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Aud8B6_u-JM/UM5ecoZgNtI/AAAAAAAACIM/PZIbG789Hls/s1600/IMG_2991.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Aud8B6_u-JM/UM5ecoZgNtI/AAAAAAAACIM/PZIbG789Hls/s200/IMG_2991.JPG" width="148" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Here's my finished Peter Pan Collar!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rpxl4Kn09nI/UM5ejtnC5kI/AAAAAAAACIc/71IkU8cuIo8/s1600/IMG_2995.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rpxl4Kn09nI/UM5ejtnC5kI/AAAAAAAACIc/71IkU8cuIo8/s320/IMG_2995.JPG" width="236" /></a></div>
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Make sure you know the exact shape of your collar before cutting your felt. I even tried on the scrap paper version to make sure it was what I wanted.<br />
- The ribbon as a fastener works well for me because I want to have the flexibility to change it to fit different shirts. You could also use one ribbon on either side to tie together, or a button if you want the collar to be fixed!<br />
- Choose beads wisely! Make sure they're small enough to be glued on without falling off. Flattening all the beads on your collar will help make sure they won't get caught on anything.<br />
- To get my ribbon through the "corkscrew holes" I used a twist tie as a threading tool!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bu16PELjMd0/UM5eaLWY2hI/AAAAAAAACIA/oQkkZPDszH8/s1600/IMG_2988.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bu16PELjMd0/UM5eaLWY2hI/AAAAAAAACIA/oQkkZPDszH8/s320/IMG_2988.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I hope you liked this DIY project and make your own Peter Pan Collar! This project was a little more tedious (especially when I was getting beads stuck to my fingers from all the glue) than some of my other DIY's but the end result turned out a lot better than I had expected. What do you think?<br />
<br />
I like my new Peter Pan Collar so much that I want to make another one! I should also buy more high collared/crew neck shirts... ^.^<br />

Today I'm going to be making a Christmas center piece. I'm probably going to put it on a bookshelf or side table just as a little Christmas cheer but I hope you like this and find a place for a mini Christmas tree!<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iv_qIbRgeVs/ULpH8BvALTI/AAAAAAAACCs/ZQzPqb99bFA/s1600/IMG_2753.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iv_qIbRgeVs/ULpH8BvALTI/AAAAAAAACCs/ZQzPqb99bFA/s200/IMG_2753.JPG" width="153" /></a>Materials:<br />
- Tin Foil<br />
- One-sided sticky Green felt (from your local craft store)<br />
- Birthday/party hat<br />
- 1 empty toilet paper roll<br />
- Tissue paper<br />
- Glue<br />
- Almond Hersey kisses (mostly for the gold foil, and a snack when you're crafting!)<br />
- Newspaper/magazine (optional)<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. First, take a toilet paper roll and glue it into your birthday hat. This is the base for your tree a.k.a. the tree trunk! Don't forget to take the birthday hat string off, hehe. I had some trouble getting it to stay, so I stuffed the tip of the hat with a balled up magazine page. ^.^<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gSmH3X1CdfE/ULpH-v6Q3nI/AAAAAAAACC0/6aQhxhCXFBo/s1600/IMG_2757.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gSmH3X1CdfE/ULpH-v6Q3nI/AAAAAAAACC0/6aQhxhCXFBo/s200/IMG_2757.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lX-QDJST2TI/ULpIAAGmXcI/AAAAAAAACC8/UuxK5nbz9ec/s1600/IMG_2758.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-lX-QDJST2TI/ULpIAAGmXcI/AAAAAAAACC8/UuxK5nbz9ec/s200/IMG_2758.JPG" width="160" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RK6aBiGAwq4/ULpIBf5FIVI/AAAAAAAACDE/lIbUv2GMrpY/s1600/IMG_2760.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RK6aBiGAwq4/ULpIBf5FIVI/AAAAAAAACDE/lIbUv2GMrpY/s200/IMG_2760.JPG" width="163" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
2. Now cut up your felt into squares/diamond shapes! With first few squares, lay them overlapping each other and so that the corners hang off the side. Because the felt has adhesive on the back already, I cut some small triangular pieces to stick onto the back so that there's no sticky parts exposed.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LCpa-zIGHGg/ULpICnS7Q3I/AAAAAAAACDM/IiwHwIzlPx8/s1600/IMG_2761.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LCpa-zIGHGg/ULpICnS7Q3I/AAAAAAAACDM/IiwHwIzlPx8/s200/IMG_2761.JPG" width="161" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zfsqGW1IbS4/ULpIGajHsZI/AAAAAAAACDo/23knlUmUHK0/s1600/IMG_2766.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zfsqGW1IbS4/ULpIGajHsZI/AAAAAAAACDo/23knlUmUHK0/s200/IMG_2766.JPG" width="143" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zxAdnur9oEw/ULpIFFhmVQI/AAAAAAAACDc/jBYLUNxAlQw/s1600/IMG_2765.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zxAdnur9oEw/ULpIFFhmVQI/AAAAAAAACDc/jBYLUNxAlQw/s200/IMG_2765.JPG" width="163" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. Keep layering the felt squares up the tree until you get to the top. For the top of the tree, I took a square and cut 6 slits into it so that I could lay the square on the top of the tree and have the sides fold down smoothly.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i3c54T414hA/ULpILI2m2ZI/AAAAAAAACD4/L0bD23GgN-A/s1600/IMG_2772.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i3c54T414hA/ULpILI2m2ZI/AAAAAAAACD4/L0bD23GgN-A/s200/IMG_2772.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FuDciqyUPKk/ULpIMdG4OqI/AAAAAAAACEA/yV3aN4oIhlE/s1600/IMG_2774.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FuDciqyUPKk/ULpIMdG4OqI/AAAAAAAACEA/yV3aN4oIhlE/s200/IMG_2774.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j1z5eJ8ZRLY/ULpIIEdbK9I/AAAAAAAACDw/xLCHG1PL2oU/s1600/IMG_2771.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j1z5eJ8ZRLY/ULpIIEdbK9I/AAAAAAAACDw/xLCHG1PL2oU/s200/IMG_2771.JPG" width="163" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U4bSYii8ELI/ULpIPK1o7pI/AAAAAAAACEI/Jp1iksStOfY/s1600/IMG_2776.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U4bSYii8ELI/ULpIPK1o7pI/AAAAAAAACEI/Jp1iksStOfY/s200/IMG_2776.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
4. Now I took some time to clean everything up a bit. Trim the bottom of your tree where parts of the birthday hat is showing. Make sure all your felt square are sticking and that your tree stump is still in place! After this step, you've got your Christmas tree ready, and all you have to do now is decorate it!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
5. I kind of got crazy with scrounging around my apartment to find stuff to decorate my Christmas tree with... With some Hersey Kiss (Almond) wrappers, I made a star!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QnkiQcQ5tgc/ULpIRvJIQgI/AAAAAAAACEQ/10UKmFC39dI/s1600/IMG_2777.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QnkiQcQ5tgc/ULpIRvJIQgI/AAAAAAAACEQ/10UKmFC39dI/s200/IMG_2777.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-piVFRliG7hk/ULpIS2LqPjI/AAAAAAAACEY/9G-TccSZnlA/s1600/IMG_2780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-piVFRliG7hk/ULpIS2LqPjI/AAAAAAAACEY/9G-TccSZnlA/s200/IMG_2780.JPG" width="153" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J0NrFdL-0lQ/ULpIUJJ_7GI/AAAAAAAACEg/pgsOAN3vpuA/s1600/IMG_2781.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-J0NrFdL-0lQ/ULpIUJJ_7GI/AAAAAAAACEg/pgsOAN3vpuA/s200/IMG_2781.JPG" width="124" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used some tin foil to make "tinsel", and some rolled up tissue paper as small ornaments! Red tissue paper to stick with the Christmas theme. :)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-y6pWM8i6qm4/ULpIVocsF1I/AAAAAAAACEo/u4vg6xT40B8/s1600/IMG_2782.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-y6pWM8i6qm4/ULpIVocsF1I/AAAAAAAACEo/u4vg6xT40B8/s200/IMG_2782.JPG" width="133" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-thX-0CHXalc/ULpIYjjAiOI/AAAAAAAACFA/zjI2yzvRS6A/s1600/IMG_2795.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-thX-0CHXalc/ULpIYjjAiOI/AAAAAAAACFA/zjI2yzvRS6A/s200/IMG_2795.JPG" width="198" /></a></div>
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Making a star out of foil is a lot harder than you think! Layer each piece of foil on top of each other so that it won't fall apart.<br />
- Get creative with your ornaments! I thought about using buttons too!<br />
- Make sure you plan/place your felt squares strategically. I had to use every last bit to cover the party hat!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gE5kHZsRYIE/ULpIcWbyopI/AAAAAAAACFU/KKaWpEyOVYc/s1600/IMG_2799.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gE5kHZsRYIE/ULpIcWbyopI/AAAAAAAACFU/KKaWpEyOVYc/s320/IMG_2799.JPG" width="235" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's my finished Christmas tree!<br />
<<<<br />
<br />
<br />
I hope you liked this post and are as excited for the holidays as I am! Now that I've decorated my mini tree, maybe I should get a my real Christmas tree and decorate it. I thought of this idea on my own (although I'm sure other people have done things similar to it), so let me know what you think!<br />
<br />
<br />
Happy crafting!<br />
<br />
Alison :)<br />

Hello everyone! To get in the holiday spirit, I thought I'd share a Apple pie recipe I tried. I'm not a chef by any means but this pie turned out really delicious! I hope you try it and enjoy eating it as much as I did, and don't forget the ice cream! :)<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qj-PxELR-Zo/UJxTjVmnrPI/AAAAAAAAB7I/XdZXwTGIL-E/s1600/IMG_2168.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qj-PxELR-Zo/UJxTjVmnrPI/AAAAAAAAB7I/XdZXwTGIL-E/s200/IMG_2168.JPG" width="149" /></a>Materials and Ingredients: (makes 2 pies)<br />
- 2, nine inch pie tins<br />
- 10 apples<br />
- Pie crust mix, 2 boxes (sorry, didn't want to be too ambitious!)<br />
- Measuring cup<br />
- 3/4 cup of sugar<br />
- 1/2 tsp of nutmeg<br />
- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon<br />
- Rolling pin<br />
- Mixing bowl<br />
- Knife<br />
- Vanilla ice cream<br />
<u><br /></u>
<u><br /></u>
<u>Steps</u>:</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br />
1. Wash and cut your apples! If you're feeling extra enthusiastic, you can peel your apples too. The skin adds a little crunchy texture and it's also good for you though, which is why I kept it. Cut your apples into slices, and keep them on the side in a mixing bowl as you prepare the crust.<br />
<br />
<br />
</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Y_I3g2KiitU/UJxShbZt5LI/AAAAAAAAB4A/QkeYnfRBRQk/s1600/IMG_2123.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="display: inline !important; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Y_I3g2KiitU/UJxShbZt5LI/AAAAAAAAB4A/QkeYnfRBRQk/s200/IMG_2123.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YliAmxtmzCw/UJxSpqsdYmI/AAAAAAAAB4Y/0SNzycgXbbA/s1600/IMG_2126.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YliAmxtmzCw/UJxSpqsdYmI/AAAAAAAAB4Y/0SNzycgXbbA/s200/IMG_2126.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<br />
2. Now make the crust. Assuming you bought the crust like me... follow the box instructions! Hehe ^.^<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YKXqDgmaxVk/UJxSr8LQacI/AAAAAAAAB4g/zpjrex9AZM0/s1600/IMG_2127.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YKXqDgmaxVk/UJxSr8LQacI/AAAAAAAAB4g/zpjrex9AZM0/s200/IMG_2127.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_neLVa-mKdE/UJxSwThW6eI/AAAAAAAAB40/Mze-5xfwxnc/s1600/IMG_2129.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_neLVa-mKdE/UJxSwThW6eI/AAAAAAAAB40/Mze-5xfwxnc/s200/IMG_2129.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. Roll out your dough (I don't have a rolling pin so I used a bottle!), so that it covers the pie tin. For the top half of the pie, I tried making strips of dough for a fancier looking pie. Since you can make 2 pies, try something different! At this point, you should <b>preheat the oven to 425 degrees</b>!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ifR5NhxItj8/UJxS7dRqDUI/AAAAAAAAB5M/_aQYkscRfxA/s1600/IMG_2132.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ifR5NhxItj8/UJxS7dRqDUI/AAAAAAAAB5M/_aQYkscRfxA/s200/IMG_2132.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--MKx-BwJvtE/UJxTA6VBGQI/AAAAAAAAB5c/yLEgKdiScGw/s1600/IMG_2134.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--MKx-BwJvtE/UJxTA6VBGQI/AAAAAAAAB5c/yLEgKdiScGw/s200/IMG_2134.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MosbJPFdtac/UJxS-J0WyNI/AAAAAAAAB5U/2JzCxl1XxB4/s1600/IMG_2133.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MosbJPFdtac/UJxS-J0WyNI/AAAAAAAAB5U/2JzCxl1XxB4/s200/IMG_2133.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
4. Now get back to your apples. Mix in the cinnamon, sugar and nutmeg! Once it's thoroughly mixed, put them in your covered pie tins.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a_DrJGEOvQ4/UJxTD_7e7xI/AAAAAAAAB5o/oZeLqRb7o_U/s1600/IMG_2135.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a_DrJGEOvQ4/UJxTD_7e7xI/AAAAAAAAB5o/oZeLqRb7o_U/s200/IMG_2135.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TckEyJ8esFY/UJxTPCTqRrI/AAAAAAAAB6I/Hc5NQJIhe9Q/s1600/IMG_2139.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-TckEyJ8esFY/UJxTPCTqRrI/AAAAAAAAB6I/Hc5NQJIhe9Q/s200/IMG_2139.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
5. Poke a few holes in the top of your pie crust (I got a little crazy with one of my pies... whoops!). Bake your pies in the oven at 425 degrees (your oven should be preheated!) for about 45 minutes or until your pie crust a little golden brown.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UTeduZRAECg/UJxTXSojDeI/AAAAAAAAB6k/jihxzbjPS5M/s1600/IMG_2142.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UTeduZRAECg/UJxTXSojDeI/AAAAAAAAB6k/jihxzbjPS5M/s200/IMG_2142.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tB_A8QO6uJs/UJxTR4B5kBI/AAAAAAAAB6U/x1_mO77AEy4/s1600/IMG_2140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tB_A8QO6uJs/UJxTR4B5kBI/AAAAAAAAB6U/x1_mO77AEy4/s200/IMG_2140.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Check out my pies! Okay, so they don't look that great but the tasted good! Check out the giant tub of vanilla ice cream! YUM!<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zLuTB-saZPc/UJxTnlRBOKI/AAAAAAAAB7Y/CXx8UgszxbA/s1600/IMG_2170.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-zLuTB-saZPc/UJxTnlRBOKI/AAAAAAAAB7Y/CXx8UgszxbA/s320/IMG_2170.JPG" width="242" /></a><br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Pie making is super fun but time consuming!<br />
- Make sure you preheat the oven.<br />
- Buy vanilla ice cream beforehand.<br />
<br />
<br />
I hope you guys enjoy you're pie! I want to start making more food and blogging about more recipes but we'll see how that goes. Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more!<br />

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5Uyml3n_PLo/UJ59zMo5ROI/AAAAAAAACA8/X7PM3_kqtl0/s1600/IMG_2560.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-5Uyml3n_PLo/UJ59zMo5ROI/AAAAAAAACA8/X7PM3_kqtl0/s200/IMG_2560.JPG" width="149" /></a>Hi everyone! I was trying to think up small ways to dress up my office cubicle and while I'm still coming up with more ideas (I have a new space to decorate! ^.^), I wanted to share this Duct Tape Flower I made that's now sitting in my pencil holder at work. A lot of my co-workers liked it so I hope you do too!<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
- Duct Tape (I chose a white duct tape but there are so many colors/patterns you can find!)</div>
- Pen or pencil<br />
- Scissors (optional)<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Take your duct tape a rip/cut a small piece about an inch and a half long.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mRVDdnL5iNc/UJ59g2fX-GI/AAAAAAAAB_w/u9zQzkEWhxI/s1600/IMG_2547.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mRVDdnL5iNc/UJ59g2fX-GI/AAAAAAAAB_w/u9zQzkEWhxI/s200/IMG_2547.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZW9P1yqLgoI/UJ59id1hM_I/AAAAAAAAB_4/mCGwEWwQeIc/s1600/IMG_2548.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZW9P1yqLgoI/UJ59id1hM_I/AAAAAAAAB_4/mCGwEWwQeIc/s200/IMG_2548.JPG" width="180" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tSfAHgz4Ty4/UJ59k1zyhBI/AAAAAAAACAA/SyMfkZOHVfQ/s1600/IMG_2552.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tSfAHgz4Ty4/UJ59k1zyhBI/AAAAAAAACAA/SyMfkZOHVfQ/s200/IMG_2552.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
2. Fold down 2 corners of your tape so they make a triangle, while leaving some of the "sticky-side" of the tape exposed. Take you're pen and place stick it to one side of this strip of "stickiness". (I hope I'm making some kind of sense!)</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jX9tu9-JPJ8/UJ59no_cDsI/AAAAAAAACAI/SSijnXgX9mQ/s1600/IMG_2553.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jX9tu9-JPJ8/UJ59no_cDsI/AAAAAAAACAI/SSijnXgX9mQ/s200/IMG_2553.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
3. With your pen on one side, roll the piece of tape so that it wraps all the way around your pen. This is your first petal! When you do this step, try to wrap it as tight and close to the pen as possible.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
4. Great job! Now keep making petals and wrapping them around your pen. I tried to make sure the petals were not directly behind another petal, but to stagger them so there a petal between every two.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kM7NWyHyPag/UJ59tvvYOGI/AAAAAAAACAs/IB-oqxX1cys/s1600/IMG_2558.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: left;"><img border="0" height="178" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kM7NWyHyPag/UJ59tvvYOGI/AAAAAAAACAs/IB-oqxX1cys/s200/IMG_2558.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
5. Once you get the hang of it, just keep on going! I tried to cover rough edges with new petals! You can make as many as you want and have them in different sizes if you want!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Hey guys! Today I'm going to share with you a new decoration I added to my room! It's colorful and fun and it adds a little something to a blank wall when you're renting an apartment like me (aka no holes in walls). Hope you like this idea!<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
- Pre-made Paper cranes (I will be doing another post on how to fold paper cranes so don't worry if you don't know how to yet!)<br />
- Needle<br />
- Thread<br />
- Tape</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<u>Steps:</u></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1. Start off by choosing the right color thread! I decided to go with a light color that would kind of blend into the walls. But if you want it to really pop, choose a bright color! Thread your needle and tie a knot on the end. Make sure your thread is pretty long, especially if you have high ceilings!<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xiIlIjbN9qg/UJxYzmuJ_9I/AAAAAAAAB9c/4Ve76jwIpyE/s1600/IMG_2242.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-xiIlIjbN9qg/UJxYzmuJ_9I/AAAAAAAAB9c/4Ve76jwIpyE/s200/IMG_2242.JPG" width="170" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W-Oa9lTsLew/UJxY7rrmGkI/AAAAAAAAB98/ysn5b7yG4nY/s1600/IMG_2250.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-W-Oa9lTsLew/UJxY7rrmGkI/AAAAAAAAB98/ysn5b7yG4nY/s200/IMG_2250.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
2. Once you have your first knot, add a paper crane by threading your needle through the middle of the crane. Leave an inch or so (depending on how you want to space out your cranes - I did 2 inches... otherwise they'd just fall on top of each other) and tie another knot before threading yet another crane. </div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DoTrx2xEXaw/UJxY8xgPjQI/AAAAAAAAB-E/TL0SN8ZifSA/s1600/IMG_2252.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DoTrx2xEXaw/UJxY8xgPjQI/AAAAAAAAB-E/TL0SN8ZifSA/s200/IMG_2252.JPG" width="148" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jJJKO2sXlyo/UJxY3KzFAcI/AAAAAAAAB9s/IsAdtvrN1t0/s1600/IMG_2246.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-jJJKO2sXlyo/UJxY3KzFAcI/AAAAAAAAB9s/IsAdtvrN1t0/s200/IMG_2246.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. Keep repeating this concept over and over again until you have a nice string of paper cranes. See how the knots separate them a little?<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gmsKhUvVfoo/UJxY0_M99BI/AAAAAAAAB9k/schPmA8xISE/s1600/IMG_2245.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gmsKhUvVfoo/UJxY0_M99BI/AAAAAAAAB9k/schPmA8xISE/s200/IMG_2245.JPG" width="163" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jHR0EAKoQKE/UJxY4ptxc9I/AAAAAAAAB90/pZlLLtuPxRk/s1600/IMG_2248.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jHR0EAKoQKE/UJxY4ptxc9I/AAAAAAAAB90/pZlLLtuPxRk/s200/IMG_2248.JPG" width="146" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Tape your string of cranes to the ceiling and... you're done!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U7bWex3ZJ1Y/UJxZJZdsonI/AAAAAAAAB-Y/5FCTUnm0EuU/s1600/IMG_2646.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-U7bWex3ZJ1Y/UJxZJZdsonI/AAAAAAAAB-Y/5FCTUnm0EuU/s320/IMG_2646.JPG" width="243" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Count the number of cranes you have a divide them up evenly into groups before you start. Having a plan helps!<br />
- Try your best to space them as evenly as possible. It's not a big deal if you're off though!<br />
- In one of the pictures above I taped my string of cranes to a desk, the longer it gets the easier it is to get them tangled up. Anchoring them will help!<br />
<br />
<br />
I ended up making 5 strings of paper cranes with 17 cranes on each! Some of them ended up longer than the others (since I didn't do a great job of spacing) but I kind of found a way to make them work. This was fun way to liven up this wall and I hope some of you try it out!<br />
<br />
You can do it too!<br />
<br />

My friend showed me this cool paper napkin folding technique that restaurants use. I thought it was pretty cool so I figured I would share it with you. This is a cute was to dress up paper napkins when you have friends over for dinner. Hope you like it!<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
- Paper Napkin (one of the fancier kinds, I guess?)<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Let's get started! Take your napkin and open in up like a book. Fold one layer from the bottom corner up to make a diagonal line.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-v5jlPJNdIOg/UI9O2nKpgII/AAAAAAAABtw/X7_LjgcolYI/s1600/IMG_2200.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-v5jlPJNdIOg/UI9O2nKpgII/AAAAAAAABtw/X7_LjgcolYI/s200/IMG_2200.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OW8k9w_NGXg/UI9O0V8rQPI/AAAAAAAABto/4_16EFQq7Mk/s1600/IMG_2199.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OW8k9w_NGXg/UI9O0V8rQPI/AAAAAAAABto/4_16EFQq7Mk/s200/IMG_2199.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-C1EUc2NuniQ/UI9O5KrKEOI/AAAAAAAABt4/VO8tXSu_Utw/s1600/IMG_2201.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-C1EUc2NuniQ/UI9O5KrKEOI/AAAAAAAABt4/VO8tXSu_Utw/s200/IMG_2201.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
2. Based on my picture above, turn the napkin clockwise once and flip it over. The bottom right corner on should be the start of the diagonal line when you turn the corner over. If so, fold the entire "back" of the napkin into three equal parts.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9LMCaBIC99Q/UI9O9k-kmqI/AAAAAAAABuI/4aW58nOW_Mo/s1600/IMG_2203.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9LMCaBIC99Q/UI9O9k-kmqI/AAAAAAAABuI/4aW58nOW_Mo/s200/IMG_2203.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OvjY-a_pP04/UI9O_vnNn3I/AAAAAAAABuQ/t4FcfXv339A/s1600/IMG_2204.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OvjY-a_pP04/UI9O_vnNn3I/AAAAAAAABuQ/t4FcfXv339A/s200/IMG_2204.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. With the diagonal part now folded on the right bottom corner again, tuck the flap on the opposite side into the diagonal.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-k_30n9iod0Q/UI9PB1dyiqI/AAAAAAAABuY/6Rt5EKTfzx4/s1600/IMG_2205.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-k_30n9iod0Q/UI9PB1dyiqI/AAAAAAAABuY/6Rt5EKTfzx4/s200/IMG_2205.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C-T0dExQHNg/UI9PD0S8KRI/AAAAAAAABuo/GvSCpfqgf6E/s1600/IMG_2206.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C-T0dExQHNg/UI9PD0S8KRI/AAAAAAAABuo/GvSCpfqgf6E/s200/IMG_2206.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Flip it over and tuck your utensils in! My friend happened to work a Sushi place and they use chopsticks!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-umxp4lzJY68/UI9PGKsizbI/AAAAAAAABuw/3eCLP3UZjf4/s1600/IMG_2207.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-umxp4lzJY68/UI9PGKsizbI/AAAAAAAABuw/3eCLP3UZjf4/s320/IMG_2207.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Napkin folding is so easy!<br />
- Sharp creases will make it easier to fold.<br />
<br />
<br />
How cute and easy is this napkin folding trick? I hope you guys liked this and try it out at your next dinner party. I don't have cloth napkins so this is simple alternative!<br />

I just recently learned about this cool bobby pin organization trick and I've been so excited to show you! If you're like me and lose your bobby pins all the time, here's a great way to keep them in one place.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NkvgED6p_Ow/UJFvsKejVfI/AAAAAAAABwA/jVlUbAkMeT4/s1600/IMG_2468.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NkvgED6p_Ow/UJFvsKejVfI/AAAAAAAABwA/jVlUbAkMeT4/s200/IMG_2468.JPG" width="141" /></a><br />
Materials:<br />
- Magnetic Adhesive strips<br />
- Flat surface<br />
- Bobby pins<br />
<br />
I love this idea because it keeps your bobby pins right there! So useful when you go to grab one while doing your hair.<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Get your magnets and test it out! Even when I hold the magnet strip upside down the bobby pins still stay on. If, for some reason yours don't stick too well.... I would (in the next steps) use 2 strips side-by-side, to make sure the bobby pins stay in place.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PbiXf6Jg3Dg/UJFvuF2Ub4I/AAAAAAAABwI/lBnwdaegPX4/s1600/IMG_2470.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PbiXf6Jg3Dg/UJFvuF2Ub4I/AAAAAAAABwI/lBnwdaegPX4/s200/IMG_2470.JPG" width="142" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7g87o-hpUmw/UJFvwtiyXVI/AAAAAAAABwY/m5eK2P8MHpw/s1600/IMG_2476.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7g87o-hpUmw/UJFvwtiyXVI/AAAAAAAABwY/m5eK2P8MHpw/s200/IMG_2476.JPG" width="156" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-n9V8aUK9TcU/UJFvvZxv8ZI/AAAAAAAABwQ/63lnQlHv0Q0/s1600/IMG_2474.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-n9V8aUK9TcU/UJFvvZxv8ZI/AAAAAAAABwQ/63lnQlHv0Q0/s200/IMG_2474.JPG" width="163" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
2. Peel back the adhesive paper and firmly press it onto your "flat surface". I chose to stick it on the inside of my wardrobe (honestly it's a bookshelf with doors that I put clothes, shoes, and accessories into). I know other people have used this in their medicine cabinets and on the inside of drawers too. Put yours close to where you usually get ready in the morning!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--dzPBZBFtV8/UJFvzWE-RnI/AAAAAAAABwg/VOdvgkCr2DQ/s1600/IMG_2477.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--dzPBZBFtV8/UJFvzWE-RnI/AAAAAAAABwg/VOdvgkCr2DQ/s200/IMG_2477.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BiX8rTCMwQ8/UJFv07eSuQI/AAAAAAAABwo/qqzFBkK-1G4/s1600/IMG_2478.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BiX8rTCMwQ8/UJFv07eSuQI/AAAAAAAABwo/qqzFBkK-1G4/s200/IMG_2478.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m-iFjrcAkjw/UJFv15UfDnI/AAAAAAAABww/Y0-TNydyHR8/s1600/IMG_2479.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m-iFjrcAkjw/UJFv15UfDnI/AAAAAAAABww/Y0-TNydyHR8/s200/IMG_2479.JPG" width="157" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aWp39_9hP0U/UJFv22iTjVI/AAAAAAAABw4/ADsF4j3kqjc/s1600/IMG_2480.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aWp39_9hP0U/UJFv22iTjVI/AAAAAAAABw4/ADsF4j3kqjc/s320/IMG_2480.JPG" width="232" /></a><br />
Here's how it turned out! -----------------------------><br />
(I used flash so you can see better... made the picture look kind of weird though!)<br />
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Make sure to buy magnets with adhesive!<br />
- You can use this same trick multiple times as long as you have more magnet strips and bobby pins.<br />
<br />
<br />
This is so easy and I'm so excited to have a spot just for bobby pins. Obviously, we all probably have a whole lot more bobby pins but at least we'll have a few out and ready for everyday hairstyles. You won't have to go digging around for them anymore! Maybe this post will be able to save a few bobby pins?<br />
<br />
Thanks for bobbin' by! (too cheesy?)<br />
<br />

Hey everyone! This is going to be a super quick post that I just started a little while ago! By no means do I have a "green-thumb", so I am attempting to try and do more gardening projects. Ideally I would be able to grow plants that are not only pretty but are edible! I'm starting off very, very slow by growing my own scallions!</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
Materials:</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
- Store bought Scallion </div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
- Cutting board You can add scallions to practically anything!</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
- Knife</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
- Dish</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gN5tFn41LsI/UIgRLSv21vI/AAAAAAAABok/Pt5jHx2SXFE/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" oea="true" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gN5tFn41LsI/UIgRLSv21vI/AAAAAAAABok/Pt5jHx2SXFE/s200/photo.JPG" width="148" /></a>- Water</div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<u>Steps:</u></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
<br /></div>
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">
1. Cut about an inch of the original (store bought) scallion with the roots.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8_D7_mUFtmw/UIgRF-N7FTI/AAAAAAAABoc/jiKOiwqGzR8/s1600/photo2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" oea="true" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8_D7_mUFtmw/UIgRF-N7FTI/AAAAAAAABoc/jiKOiwqGzR8/s200/photo2.JPG" width="148" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
2. Get a small dish with some water and place the scallion root in it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Lke_v17DS2U/UIgRCX4ZUyI/AAAAAAAABoU/By4oTf_xbRU/s1600/photo3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" oea="true" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Lke_v17DS2U/UIgRCX4ZUyI/AAAAAAAABoU/By4oTf_xbRU/s200/photo3.JPG" width="148" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3. Keep an eye for how thirsty your scallion is and water it accordingly! You can see how much it'll grow in just a few days!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- I can grow plants!<br />
- Do not keep your scallion in direct sunlight for too long, it will dry out the water and the plant.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m_FFowpRdjc/UI9KnFeWhJI/AAAAAAAABsA/DA8bkreu5yo/s1600/photo.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m_FFowpRdjc/UI9KnFeWhJI/AAAAAAAABsA/DA8bkreu5yo/s200/photo.JPG" width="150" /></a><br />
I hope you liked this short post. I had a great time eating the "fruits of my labor", especially when it was so easy to grow my own scallion. Still, it was a great feeling! The best part is that I can still grow more from the same root as long as I don't cut too much off. So the next time you have potatoes, with sour cream and a bit of shredded cheese, add some of your home grown scallions!<br />
<br />
Yummers,<br />

Hey guys! In the spirit of Halloween I thought I'd try a fun nail design! I decided to do a "scar/stitch" design as an accent for my nails! I am definitely a beginner when it comes to nails but for those of you want to try something festive and easy to do, keep reading!</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Materials:</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Nail polish (Red, Silver)</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
- Toothpick</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<u>Steps:</u></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
1. First, paint your base color! I used Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in Cherry Red. I painted 2 coats to (hopefully) prevent chipping. Let your nails dry completely before the next step!</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L-fZjUH9y98/UI6Ajqr2lXI/AAAAAAAABp4/MjU9VFZQ9yo/s1600/IMG_2420.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L-fZjUH9y98/UI6Ajqr2lXI/AAAAAAAABp4/MjU9VFZQ9yo/s200/IMG_2420.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ixJ6oRnXOKo/UI6Aljt9VmI/AAAAAAAABqA/UT4CuR_ZG0U/s1600/IMG_2422.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ixJ6oRnXOKo/UI6Aljt9VmI/AAAAAAAABqA/UT4CuR_ZG0U/s200/IMG_2422.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br />
2. Get your toothpick and a silver nail polish. You could also use a black nail polish for a more dramatic look. I used Petites in Twilight (which happens to be a favorite nail polish of mine)! Take your toothpick and dip it into the silver nail polish bottle, just to get a little of the color. Now use the toothpick to draw a diagonal line across your ring finger nail.<br />
<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UX9fRKPRBAM/UI6ApzildiI/AAAAAAAABqQ/a9UEaqxzQu4/s1600/IMG_2424.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UX9fRKPRBAM/UI6ApzildiI/AAAAAAAABqQ/a9UEaqxzQu4/s200/IMG_2424.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LYIvH6seAMw/UI6AssRZAFI/AAAAAAAABqc/r3E8ZSSH4Cg/s1600/IMG_2425.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LYIvH6seAMw/UI6AssRZAFI/AAAAAAAABqc/r3E8ZSSH4Cg/s200/IMG_2425.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3. To continue with this "scar/stitch" look, add smaller "stitches" across the first diagonal line.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uZZ152tlKCg/UI6AvmZE_5I/AAAAAAAABqs/gHZe9HgCXhI/s1600/IMG_2427.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uZZ152tlKCg/UI6AvmZE_5I/AAAAAAAABqs/gHZe9HgCXhI/s200/IMG_2427.JPG" width="199" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NzLxe6FdxvE/UI6AuryAW4I/AAAAAAAABqk/GRoYEuqT9ZM/s1600/IMG_2426.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NzLxe6FdxvE/UI6AuryAW4I/AAAAAAAABqk/GRoYEuqT9ZM/s200/IMG_2426.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Here's the final look!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2bpRuD8QuII/UI6AyNucBsI/AAAAAAAABq0/TEsNVTMOudw/s1600/IMG_2428.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2bpRuD8QuII/UI6AyNucBsI/AAAAAAAABq0/TEsNVTMOudw/s320/IMG_2428.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- <span style="text-align: left;">If you get too much nail polish on your toothpick it'll glob onto your nail so just skim it along the edge of the bottle to wipe a bit off. </span><br />
<span style="text-align: left;"><br /></span>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and that you get a chance to try it before Halloween! I had a lot of fun trying this out and I really like how it came out. I'm actually going to be a vampire this year so the red nails are definitely going to stand out on against a dark costume! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
BOO!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

Hey everyone! I'm sorry that I haven't posted anything in so long! So... I'm going to try and make it up to you with this Tiny Button Present post! I made this for my boyfriend awhile ago as a cheesy/cute/silly gift but I couldn't post it until after he found it, since it was a surprise! This is going to be dedicated to everyone trying to make a long distance relationship work! I hope you like it. ^.^</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3AKZWvJm_CI/UH9FIx7DP2I/AAAAAAAABmA/a3SreUIEPnk/s1600/IMG_2062.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3AKZWvJm_CI/UH9FIx7DP2I/AAAAAAAABmA/a3SreUIEPnk/s200/IMG_2062.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div>
Materials:</div>
<div>
- Lined paper</div>
<div>
- Scrapbook paper</div>
<div>
- Scissors</div>
<div>
- Button</div>
<div>
- Writing Utensil</div>
<div>
- Glue </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is just a list of what I used, but use whatever you have at home already, I know I did! (Notice my scrapbook paper is a piece from my <a href="http://ifalisoncanyoucan.blogspot.com/2012/09/its-boy-card.html">It's A Boy Card</a>!)</div>
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Cut a rectangular piece of scrapbook paper. The dimensions will vary based on the size you want your box to be, but I recommend having the length to be significantly longer than the width. You need to make 3 small "cuts" on each side, not including cutting out a flap shape for the top of your box. The middle cuts are closer together on mine, and that will be the "back-side" of my box. (Insert funny joke about butt. hehe)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b-KkLCpucMY/UH9FKHue1-I/AAAAAAAABmI/vMddd4Qg5CE/s1600/IMG_2063.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b-KkLCpucMY/UH9FKHue1-I/AAAAAAAABmI/vMddd4Qg5CE/s200/IMG_2063.JPG" width="152" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qziaWdaSsck/UH9FK11qQwI/AAAAAAAABmQ/EJV_KcRuSUs/s1600/IMG_2064.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qziaWdaSsck/UH9FK11qQwI/AAAAAAAABmQ/EJV_KcRuSUs/s200/IMG_2064.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
2. Now fold your sides together, using your "cuts" as guidelines. When you fold each little flap in add a dab of glue, except for the "top" of your box. Just fold the flaps into the box to close it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CkYZ3ZRTuq4/UH9FMblpNkI/AAAAAAAABmY/5AeD-5WHN1E/s1600/IMG_2065.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CkYZ3ZRTuq4/UH9FMblpNkI/AAAAAAAABmY/5AeD-5WHN1E/s200/IMG_2065.JPG" width="178" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bnhUAZ0p_K8/UH9FNHbm1UI/AAAAAAAABmg/Q_W3PgVoEMI/s1600/IMG_2066.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bnhUAZ0p_K8/UH9FNHbm1UI/AAAAAAAABmg/Q_W3PgVoEMI/s200/IMG_2066.JPG" width="171" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-klSIU6J6KUU/UH9FOlo2yEI/AAAAAAAABmo/orBJmmvmcSQ/s1600/IMG_2067.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="186" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-klSIU6J6KUU/UH9FOlo2yEI/AAAAAAAABmo/orBJmmvmcSQ/s200/IMG_2067.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
3. Great! Now that you've put together your box (with the top open and closing well), write a cute message! Since this is a Tiny Button Present, I wrote "You're as cute as a button!". You can always change up your message but I thought adding a tiny button with the message would make it extra cheesy. ;)<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-thRgqTcj8_A/UH9FSVOxbsI/AAAAAAAABm4/20U1bzoWsRI/s1600/IMG_2070.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="181" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-thRgqTcj8_A/UH9FSVOxbsI/AAAAAAAABm4/20U1bzoWsRI/s200/IMG_2070.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
4. Here's the hardest part (also optional). I tied a small bow with string (kind of like miniature ribbon?) to pull the whole button idea together.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Here's what my Tiny Button Present looks like!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AKJelvWFaMY/UH9FTXepFXI/AAAAAAAABnA/fmy6l-91T7Q/s1600/IMG_2073.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="264" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AKJelvWFaMY/UH9FTXepFXI/AAAAAAAABnA/fmy6l-91T7Q/s320/IMG_2073.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Make sure your initial cuts match up with one another, so your box comes out even on all sides.<br />
- Tying string around a tiny box is a lot harder than you would think!<br />
<br />
<br />
I made this Tiny Button Present for my boyfriend and hid it in his apartment when I visited him, so that he could find it after I left! (Oh the things I do to make a long distance relationship work :P) If you're considering making this for someone special, you should do it! :)<br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed this blog post and I promise there will be more to come soon!<br />
<br />

Today I'm going to show you my new curtains that I made from an extra flat sheet I had. I know there are many tutorials on how to do this but I was able to fasten something without having to buy a curtain rod (peaked your interest I hope!). I'm a strong believer in the magic of window treatments and how they can transform a room! Even though my new curtains aren't absolutely perfect, they definitely give the room personality and make it feel more homey! Okay, lets get started!<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dp6J1wYhotc/UGdc0YhbjXI/AAAAAAAABiM/JQ2BTK2qWAE/s1600/IMG_2217.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-dp6J1wYhotc/UGdc0YhbjXI/AAAAAAAABiM/JQ2BTK2qWAE/s200/IMG_2217.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
Materials:<br />
- Flat sheet<br />
- Thumbtacks<br />
- Ribbon<br />
<br />
I never usually use flat sheets since I have a duvet cover, to this is great for a bedroom since the curtain will match the fitted sheet used on your bed!<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Fold your flat sheet based on the shape of your window. I folded mine the "long" way. Measure out the length of your window and how long you want your curtain to fall. You can use measuring tape, but I just held up the curtains to see how it would look (ask a friend for help!). You could also use a safety pins to mark the point where you'll fold the sheet again so that it'll fall at the right length. I had mine fall a little less than a foot from the bottom of the window. How plain/ugly are these windows?<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-poE5Hff-PYs/UGdankdMajI/AAAAAAAABhI/wJBQHhhBM18/s1600/IMG_2033.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-poE5Hff-PYs/UGdankdMajI/AAAAAAAABhI/wJBQHhhBM18/s200/IMG_2033.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t5NhSMRRLAU/UGdap4kwc_I/AAAAAAAABhQ/FekXcp0iQ3A/s1600/IMG_2036.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-t5NhSMRRLAU/UGdap4kwc_I/AAAAAAAABhQ/FekXcp0iQ3A/s200/IMG_2036.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-911R_ecnf_U/UGdayLKWSrI/AAAAAAAABhw/iLDbZoYhJc4/s1600/IMG_2041.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-911R_ecnf_U/UGdayLKWSrI/AAAAAAAABhw/iLDbZoYhJc4/s200/IMG_2041.JPG" width="148" /></a><br />
2. Next use your thumbtacks and thumbtack them to the top of the frame of your window. I realize you probably don't want to make too many homes especially if you're a tenant like me but thumbtack holes are really small! I used three thumbtacks, with one additional one in the middle. You could double up on each spot for extra strength but use your best judgement!<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Lg86tAiNBNk/UGda18sCaaI/AAAAAAAABiA/eNNVXuvBNZs/s1600/IMG_2216.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Lg86tAiNBNk/UGda18sCaaI/AAAAAAAABiA/eNNVXuvBNZs/s200/IMG_2216.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3. Now tie a ribbon around the middle (middle to bottom) of your curtain. My room is pretty much black, white and purple so I went with a theme-matching ribbon pattern!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Awesome! Here's how my sheet/curtain turned out!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sbFnKsGFUHQ/UGda0CDBXaI/AAAAAAAABh4/2YmTEVEPKV0/s1600/IMG_2215.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sbFnKsGFUHQ/UGda0CDBXaI/AAAAAAAABh4/2YmTEVEPKV0/s320/IMG_2215.JPG" width="238" /></a></div>
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Iron your sheet first.<br />
- Safety pins can also be used to tuck in the top sides of your sheet that's folded behind your curtain.<br />
- Once you push that thumbtack into the wall, don't take it out! It'll be loose and probably won't<br />
<br />
<br />
You can always change up the color of your curtains to make the fitted sheet you use on your bed. The best thing about this is that you can reuse your flat sheet if you ever need it! I hope you guys enjoyed this post and try it out for yourself!<br />

I've recently decided to do something with my plain walls by adding a tree wall decal! I really wanted one of these but shoot! they are so expensive (the large sized ones I wanted were about $75 and up!). My DIY wall decal only cost $7.99 (not including the options wall hooks), so I hope you guys like this and try something like it to add a little something to your walls!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TaMirIKXNF4/UFjVfgr9PpI/AAAAAAAABb4/y9zU5aMmiCU/s1600/IMG_2013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TaMirIKXNF4/UFjVfgr9PpI/AAAAAAAABb4/y9zU5aMmiCU/s200/IMG_2013.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
- Artists tape or Painters tape (just make sure it has a low adhesive level)<br />
- Scissors<br />
- Wall hooks<br />
<br />
You can use different colored tape if you want, I just happened to like keeping everything in black. If you don't like the tree decal, you can use this method and materials to make whatever you like!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Pick a blank wall that you know needs some pizzazz! Take two long strips of your Artists tape and outline the trunk of your tree. I started mine above the floor molding and stopped it at about the middle of the wall in terms of height.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-INMnpJh77ek/UFjVLjA0iwI/AAAAAAAABas/hiI4n6XTb18/s1600/IMG_1991.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-INMnpJh77ek/UFjVLjA0iwI/AAAAAAAABas/hiI4n6XTb18/s200/IMG_1991.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X7fbKciJDDA/UFjVQTAXImI/AAAAAAAABa8/MBju43YUAWU/s1600/IMG_1993.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-X7fbKciJDDA/UFjVQTAXImI/AAAAAAAABa8/MBju43YUAWU/s200/IMG_1993.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
2. Now from the trunk, make a bunch of branches. The larger branches are the same as the trunk but for smaller branches I decided to rip strips of tape in half to make skinnier branches. (Ignore the random bits of tape on the walls please!)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-y3K-B0E2vls/UFjVR3i6kOI/AAAAAAAABbE/GR4V6XFTsTo/s1600/IMG_1994.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-y3K-B0E2vls/UFjVR3i6kOI/AAAAAAAABbE/GR4V6XFTsTo/s320/IMG_1994.JPG" width="248" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. Once you finished making your branches, start making a ton of leaves. I found two ways to make leaves. Either cut two halves and put them together or tape two long strips together and cut a whole leaf from that. I used both techniques! Your leaves should all be a little different so don't worry about it if some are smaller than the others.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AqUom4m7hj0/UFjVZHApEXI/AAAAAAAABbc/xKM1LMSa72s/s1600/IMG_1997.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AqUom4m7hj0/UFjVZHApEXI/AAAAAAAABbc/xKM1LMSa72s/s200/IMG_1997.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CqODVye-eos/UFjVbIJKHrI/AAAAAAAABbk/BampOkpogQA/s1600/IMG_1998.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CqODVye-eos/UFjVbIJKHrI/AAAAAAAABbk/BampOkpogQA/s200/IMG_1998.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-n1_67VpWdZ4/UFjVmIj_YGI/AAAAAAAABcQ/83I-luv6peU/s1600/IMG_2016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-n1_67VpWdZ4/UFjVmIj_YGI/AAAAAAAABcQ/83I-luv6peU/s200/IMG_2016.JPG" width="176" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aYoSgLSdGDc/UFjV21vGhZI/AAAAAAAABdU/cL-Me_sYGXU/s1600/IMG_2025.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aYoSgLSdGDc/UFjV21vGhZI/AAAAAAAABdU/cL-Me_sYGXU/s200/IMG_2025.JPG" width="153" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AN5_uhnlgMk/UFjV3pd157I/AAAAAAAABdc/1xH1ofYW144/s1600/IMG_2026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AN5_uhnlgMk/UFjV3pd157I/AAAAAAAABdc/1xH1ofYW144/s200/IMG_2026.JPG" width="148" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
4. Great, once you've made a bunch of leaves, start placing them on your wall. I did 3-5 leaves at the end of each branch so just use your best judgement! (I decided to add an extra branch too! >.<)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7my4C2H20YE/UFjVddxdJOI/AAAAAAAABbs/jpsExf6ioi0/s1600/IMG_2012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7my4C2H20YE/UFjVddxdJOI/AAAAAAAABbs/jpsExf6ioi0/s200/IMG_2012.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2dqMuAPqXtM/UFjVhz12bHI/AAAAAAAABcA/6tzqqTNQMes/s1600/IMG_2014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2dqMuAPqXtM/UFjVhz12bHI/AAAAAAAABcA/6tzqqTNQMes/s200/IMG_2014.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HVq1Ts0mxcY/UFjVqqbY8eI/AAAAAAAABcg/kDyNF-Rwb0w/s1600/IMG_2018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HVq1Ts0mxcY/UFjVqqbY8eI/AAAAAAAABcg/kDyNF-Rwb0w/s200/IMG_2018.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
5. I wanted to add a few wall hooks and camouflage them in the tree branches. Strategically place your wall hooks under the tape that would be your branches or leaves!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EuxzoAhlkl8/UFjVoJr0iFI/AAAAAAAABcY/ao3raei7Yx8/s1600/IMG_2017.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EuxzoAhlkl8/UFjVoJr0iFI/AAAAAAAABcY/ao3raei7Yx8/s200/IMG_2017.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7eJWM2_XHkA/UFn_O82rwbI/AAAAAAAABgA/EBOkEIKskK8/s1600/IMG_2022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-7eJWM2_XHkA/UFn_O82rwbI/AAAAAAAABgA/EBOkEIKskK8/s200/IMG_2022.JPG" width="174" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
6. This is also an optional step. I just wanted to a add a little bit more detail to my tree so I added some bark, which is just skinny strips of tape!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NRErdVPA2b4/UFjVyKlvO7I/AAAAAAAABc8/G4xFJLNXZZQ/s1600/IMG_2022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NRErdVPA2b4/UFjVyKlvO7I/AAAAAAAABc8/G4xFJLNXZZQ/s320/IMG_2022.JPG" width="238" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AHlaL03mjkk/UFjV0XWndHI/AAAAAAAABdE/h4nMHJMgyM4/s1600/IMG_2023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AHlaL03mjkk/UFjV0XWndHI/AAAAAAAABdE/h4nMHJMgyM4/s320/IMG_2023.JPG" width="238" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Here's the finished wall decal!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PoLzFFw3DB4/UFk4_x_U2UI/AAAAAAAABe4/I1rdsIrbmjc/s1600/IMG_2027.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PoLzFFw3DB4/UFk4_x_U2UI/AAAAAAAABe4/I1rdsIrbmjc/s320/IMG_2027.JPG" width="260" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- For a softer look, rip the tape instead of cutting it with scissors. A lot of my leaves have ripped edges!<br />
- If you don't like how something is turning out, change it! This tape is super easy to remove, and I basically have a whole roll of tape left over so you'll have plenty of materials.<br />
- The tape doesn't really stick too well to itself so when you're done, go back and trim some of the edges.<br />
<br />
I seriously love love love this and I'm so glad I thought twice about buying an expensive wall decal! I hope you get to try this on one of your walls, you could do something completely different! I'm considering adding some woodland creatures, maybe a bird or a squirrel to run around my room...?<br />

I made this for one of my best friends birthday yesterday! If you have a friend that loves chocolate, this is a really cute/funny gift you can put together for them very easily. Added bonus: If you're hanging out with them and are craving chocolate... you know they have some (yes that was part of my plan all along)! Hope you try this out!<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-euWHpDQ1Gbc/UFizipDuyzI/AAAAAAAABYc/5lciuxscy9g/s1600/IMG_2001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-euWHpDQ1Gbc/UFizipDuyzI/AAAAAAAABYc/5lciuxscy9g/s200/IMG_2001.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
Materials:<br />
- Shadow box<br />
- Chocolate bar<br />
- Paper<br />
- Marker<br />
- Adhesive or pins<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. I started off by writing "In case of Emergency Break Glass" on two strips of paper. Then take out your shadow box. I got mine for $10 and it came with a fuzzy background, a Velcro strip and four pins.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P7Ue3m1K3ro/UFizj45sMZI/AAAAAAAABYk/0ngqn_X7MTc/s1600/IMG_2003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="199" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P7Ue3m1K3ro/UFizj45sMZI/AAAAAAAABYk/0ngqn_X7MTc/s320/IMG_2003.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
2. I used the four pins to secure the "message" to the fuzzy background. You could use something different, like glue or maybe double sided tape depending on the texture of your background.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-q8_1DDLo4xQ/UFiznlwyJPI/AAAAAAAABYs/bjuJJHL-HKE/s1600/IMG_2005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-q8_1DDLo4xQ/UFiznlwyJPI/AAAAAAAABYs/bjuJJHL-HKE/s200/IMG_2005.JPG" width="171" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WjCi40zwblk/UFizo52VvPI/AAAAAAAABY0/m1B9qeIJD9Y/s1600/IMG_2006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WjCi40zwblk/UFizo52VvPI/AAAAAAAABY0/m1B9qeIJD9Y/s200/IMG_2006.JPG" width="198" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. Now put that Velcro strip on the back of a chocolate bar. Careful! Don't press it too hard and break the chocolate!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nElyVPJW9cU/UFizp17qEYI/AAAAAAAABY8/33jn5pDqxUQ/s1600/IMG_2007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nElyVPJW9cU/UFizp17qEYI/AAAAAAAABY8/33jn5pDqxUQ/s200/IMG_2007.JPG" width="165" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LkufHBX3P0c/UFizrJ3-4WI/AAAAAAAABZA/SneW1_bjuxU/s1600/IMG_2009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-LkufHBX3P0c/UFizrJ3-4WI/AAAAAAAABZA/SneW1_bjuxU/s200/IMG_2009.JPG" width="143" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
4. Attach your chocolate bar to the fuzzy backing and put it into your shadow box frame. And you're finished! Hopefully your friend likes this gift idea!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fUaXDBAkPVc/UFizsYEJK_I/AAAAAAAABZM/3cegHBqOr1o/s1600/IMG_2010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="190" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fUaXDBAkPVc/UFizsYEJK_I/AAAAAAAABZM/3cegHBqOr1o/s200/IMG_2010.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E05YRJolLJI/UFiztreGMMI/AAAAAAAABZU/xfjWc0pWASU/s1600/IMG_2011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="196" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-E05YRJolLJI/UFiztreGMMI/AAAAAAAABZU/xfjWc0pWASU/s200/IMG_2011.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Sentimental gifts are great! My friend really liked this! ^.^<br />
- Check to see what kind of background you have in your shadow box. Look at color and (especially) texture to see what kind of adhesive you need.<br />
- Pick a chocolate or candy that you know your friend likes to personalize it.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rEScH4jVvF4/UFizu4q73CI/AAAAAAAABZg/8oTzUjBcz_A/s1600/IMG_2028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="163" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rEScH4jVvF4/UFizu4q73CI/AAAAAAAABZg/8oTzUjBcz_A/s200/IMG_2028.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
This is a simple project that I think is a great gift idea for the right friend. I saw this on Pinterest a while back and immediately made a mental note. Let's hope there aren't any chocolate emergencies anytime soon, but at least your friend will be prepared!<br />
<br />
Yummers,<br />

Recently a family friend had a baby boy and I decided to make her an "It's a Boy" Card, instead of buying one. You can change up this tutorial for any occasion by changing up the colors and patterns and get super creative with whatever ideas come to mind! I used some stuff I had in the house already. I hope you like this post and get creative with it!<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9USQI5LzSbk/UEjyyvcrQAI/AAAAAAAABUM/HjnUdbEcZL8/s1600/IMG_1903.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9USQI5LzSbk/UEjyyvcrQAI/AAAAAAAABUM/HjnUdbEcZL8/s200/IMG_1903.JPG" width="149" /></a>Materials:<br />
- Paper (I used two different patterned sheets and one plain one.)<br />
- Yarn or ribbon<br />
- Scissors<br />
- Double sided tape or glue<br />
- Sharpie<br />
- Pen<br />
<br />
I really want to emphasize using materials you already have! Notice the yarn I use is the same as the yarn in my <a href="http://ifalisoncanyoucan.blogspot.com/2012/08/crochet-flowers.html">Crochet Flowers</a> and <a href="http://ifalisoncanyoucan.blogspot.com/2012/08/knitted-headband_24.html">Knitted Headband</a> posts!<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MmyMM4yyp6c/UEjylbuvO4I/AAAAAAAABTY/Oxx0X7jlrl8/s1600/IMG_1894.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MmyMM4yyp6c/UEjylbuvO4I/AAAAAAAABTY/Oxx0X7jlrl8/s200/IMG_1894.JPG" width="149" /></a><br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Cut out the initial shape of your card. I cut out two sheets (two different polka dots), where one fit inside the other. One side will be the outside of the card, and the other would be the inside, so pick your colors!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
2. Next, double tape those sheets together. I like having a little bit of the inside pattern showing so I trimmed the front side of the card about a half an inch! I also cut out a little strip of the inside pattern and double taped it to the cover.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
3. I then tied a small bow, made of yarn over the piece that I had just added to the front of the card. Then I added a drop of glue to keep the bow in place!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zht_F2rAv9I/UEjy0EJbeZI/AAAAAAAABUU/HjpIvBuc9Ok/s1600/IMG_1904.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-zht_F2rAv9I/UEjy0EJbeZI/AAAAAAAABUU/HjpIvBuc9Ok/s200/IMG_1904.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yeHFN4m-U6M/UEjywY_ORkI/AAAAAAAABUA/S7DdBThWqHg/s1600/IMG_1902.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yeHFN4m-U6M/UEjywY_ORkI/AAAAAAAABUA/S7DdBThWqHg/s200/IMG_1902.JPG" width="190" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
4. Since the yarn can be seen on the other side (it should be on the inside of the card), I added a little "tag" with a cute, "baby appropriate" picture. Some other ideas I thought of were a rattle, duck, or pacifier. I also double sided taped a blank piece of paper (cut to fit the shape of the card) for the area where I wanted to write something. This is totally optional! I just felt like there was too much polka dots!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m9kANZL8iB8/UEjy2ph7miI/AAAAAAAABUc/OwXkTXImS4Q/s1600/IMG_1905.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m9kANZL8iB8/UEjy2ph7miI/AAAAAAAABUc/OwXkTXImS4Q/s200/IMG_1905.JPG" width="148" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qsZzf-eYlms/UEjy3zxm2hI/AAAAAAAABUk/saRqBBwVp3o/s1600/IMG_1906.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="281" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-qsZzf-eYlms/UEjy3zxm2hI/AAAAAAAABUk/saRqBBwVp3o/s320/IMG_1906.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I added "It's a Boy!" to the cover, and here's how it turned out!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HRpjo2X8Cvo/UEjy5LlAgeI/AAAAAAAABUs/oI9aeUUnJZM/s1600/IMG_1907.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HRpjo2X8Cvo/UEjy5LlAgeI/AAAAAAAABUs/oI9aeUUnJZM/s320/IMG_1907.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- When you're writing out the cover or trying to draw a picture for your "tag" make sure you practice a little on scrap paper or do it in pencil first!<br />
- Try and plan out your steps but sometime you have to improvise! (ex. too much polka dot... cover it with plain paper!)<br />
<br />

I hope you guys liked this post, and try it the next time make a card! Most of these ideas could be used for any card. Don't forget to make an envelope for it too (check out a previous post for ideas! <a href="http://ifalisoncanyoucan.blogspot.com/2012/08/diy-envelope.html">DIY Envelope</a>)! Let me know how your cards turn out!<br />

Today I'm going to be posting a Sailors Knot Bracelet DIY for you to "sea" (get it?)! Okay, enough jokes... It took me awhile to figure out how to tie this knot so I hope this blog post will help any of you out there. I want to tell you that I tried to buy a metal clasp at the craft store but since they didn't have any big enough I just improvised something... I love this nautical bracelet and I hope you guys like it too! ^.^<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cNK3GwG_ZYo/UEOIYC_bFsI/AAAAAAAABNg/vaqxDcnF084/s1600/IMG_1877.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cNK3GwG_ZYo/UEOIYC_bFsI/AAAAAAAABNg/vaqxDcnF084/s1600/IMG_1877.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cNK3GwG_ZYo/UEOIYC_bFsI/AAAAAAAABNg/vaqxDcnF084/s200/IMG_1877.JPG" width="149" /><br />
</a><br />
Materials:<br />
- Rope/cord<br />
- Shears<br />
- Small piece of fabric<br />
- Super glue<br />
<br />
I actually got my rope from the handles of a shopping bag from a store! If you have ways to repurpose, why not?<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps</u>:<br />
<br />
1. I'm going to be showing you how to make the knot first. Start off with a piece of your rope and make a loop, so that the end that's further away from you is going over the other. Next take another piece of rope and lay it over the end further from you, and put it under the end of the first rope. Kind of confusing, but I hope the picutres help!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tMlS_CJ9Foo/UEOIZk76tdI/AAAAAAAABNo/hz5-UFpuunU/s1600/IMG_1880.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="135" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tMlS_CJ9Foo/UEOIZk76tdI/AAAAAAAABNo/hz5-UFpuunU/s200/IMG_1880.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fdE-OKLILWw/UEOIcHhiqDI/AAAAAAAABNw/dAR4neb9gVo/s1600/IMG_1884.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="186" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fdE-OKLILWw/UEOIcHhiqDI/AAAAAAAABNw/dAR4neb9gVo/s200/IMG_1884.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
2. Now this will get even trickier. Lay the loop over the second strand. Then, take the end of the second strand closest to you and weave it over, under and over again through the original loop.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lhBdFSNXLbM/UEOIdllTQYI/AAAAAAAABN4/mdgE8Tllc9o/s1600/IMG_1886.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lhBdFSNXLbM/UEOIdllTQYI/AAAAAAAABN4/mdgE8Tllc9o/s200/IMG_1886.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uiLY_H2K0rM/UEOIgaTHn2I/AAAAAAAABOE/SUB9XpErKuo/s1600/IMG_1887.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-uiLY_H2K0rM/UEOIgaTHn2I/AAAAAAAABOE/SUB9XpErKuo/s200/IMG_1887.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. Great! If you pull the ends, you'll have your sailor's knot! You can leave it like this based on the size of your wrist and how you want your bracelet to look. I decided that it was too small so I did the same knot but with 4 pieces of rope instead of 2.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1o8uNXLEHUk/UEOIiR28NHI/AAAAAAAABOM/XwKuzR6iMJI/s1600/IMG_1889.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1o8uNXLEHUk/UEOIiR28NHI/AAAAAAAABOM/XwKuzR6iMJI/s320/IMG_1889.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
4. I meantioned that I couldn't find those metal clasps I wanted so I decided to secure it by trimming the ends of the rope and glueing them to a piece of fabric. Just use a little bit of super glue and wrap the fabric piece around the ends of your rope.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-g1EWS26Z4Ao/UETQLZbIgxI/AAAAAAAABPs/FcH1gOdcFWo/s1600/IMG_1891.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-g1EWS26Z4Ao/UETQLZbIgxI/AAAAAAAABPs/FcH1gOdcFWo/s200/IMG_1891.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dwd2E6WPnCs/UETQMyeRQ_I/AAAAAAAABP0/huhNU20Yuas/s1600/IMG_1892.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dwd2E6WPnCs/UETQMyeRQ_I/AAAAAAAABP0/huhNU20Yuas/s200/IMG_1892.JPG" width="181" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Once that's glued, you are done!<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F5yS1e5S9o4/UEOIoUSykmI/AAAAAAAABOs/-JWzUQPdO4A/s1600/IMG_1893.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F5yS1e5S9o4/UEOIoUSykmI/AAAAAAAABOs/-JWzUQPdO4A/s320/IMG_1893.JPG" width="238" /></a>What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Be resourceful if you can!<br />
- If the knot is pulled tight, the bracelet will feel looser. I like wearing it with the knot looser, so it fits perfectly to my wrist. When you put it on, have the knot tight and loosen it after you get it on your wrist!<br />
<br />
<br />
I seriously love this bracelet! I've seen other people with similar things like making headbands with a Sailor's knot. You could try that too if you enjoyed this tutorial!<br />

I wish I had done this post earlier since summer is almost over but I figured I'd still share it with you. This is meant to be a beach cover up dress, but I might wear it around the house too, since it's soo comfy!<br />
<br />
Materials:<br />
- 1.5 yards of fabric (I used Jersey! The amount also varies on how tight/loose you want your cover up to be.)<br />
- Shears<br />
- Needle and thread<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WlM23TcLGPk/UEK-rP__gqI/AAAAAAAABJA/XUK3b2aAwNI/s1600/IMG_1804.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WlM23TcLGPk/UEK-rP__gqI/AAAAAAAABJA/XUK3b2aAwNI/s200/IMG_1804.JPG" width="149" /><br />
<br />
</a><u></u><br />
<u></u><br />
<u>Steps</u>:<br />
<br />
1. Measure your fabric by wrapping it around your body! Then lay it out on the floor and cut! I left an extra half inch just incase, but that's up to you! You can use measuring tape or pins as tools too.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V72uDB5lr9k/UEK-wbuHDgI/AAAAAAAABJQ/Kx-D-ZY-6DM/s1600/IMG_1806.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V72uDB5lr9k/UEK-wbuHDgI/AAAAAAAABJQ/Kx-D-ZY-6DM/s200/IMG_1806.JPG" width="161" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
2. Fold your fabric in half and cut an "arm hole" on both sides of your beach cover up!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3. From your extra fabric, cut two strips from it. These are going to be the straps for your beach cover up! There are two ways I tried for a strap detail. You can braid your strap, which will mean you'll need to cut it into three more strips, or.... you can twist it!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nmR2EYAMlsY/UEK-tiszc3I/AAAAAAAABJI/k-nhTQ-HPQo/s1600/IMG_1805.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nmR2EYAMlsY/UEK-tiszc3I/AAAAAAAABJI/k-nhTQ-HPQo/s200/IMG_1805.JPG" width="198" /></a><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PeWTIXsssLY/UEK-8MdGE0I/AAAAAAAABJc/8-kn0TtnW20/s1600/IMG_1808.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PeWTIXsssLY/UEK-8MdGE0I/AAAAAAAABJc/8-kn0TtnW20/s200/IMG_1808.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lNXuFoOxUv8/UEK_O1peP0I/AAAAAAAABJk/wYha45vt4lY/s1600/IMG_1811.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lNXuFoOxUv8/UEK_O1peP0I/AAAAAAAABJk/wYha45vt4lY/s200/IMG_1811.JPG" width="149" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-V72uDB5lr9k/UEK-wbuHDgI/AAAAAAAABJQ/Kx-D-ZY-6DM/s1600/IMG_1806.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br />
</a>4. Now sew on your straps around the "arm holes" you cut out! I did a bunch of stitches to make sure it's sturdy!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XdGtLxJtUy8/UEK_UGTEmyI/AAAAAAAABJ8/UDfG0OsuVz0/s1600/IMG_1812.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XdGtLxJtUy8/UEK_UGTEmyI/AAAAAAAABJ8/UDfG0OsuVz0/s200/IMG_1812.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QV9ebDewYoc/UEK_P5Jps7I/AAAAAAAABJs/zZxaLVmo64g/s1600/IMG_1815.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QV9ebDewYoc/UEK_P5Jps7I/AAAAAAAABJs/zZxaLVmo64g/s200/IMG_1815.JPG" width="163" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div align="left" class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
5. Try on your new beach cover up! Just simply put your arm through one strap, wrap it around from fron to back and pull it onto the other arm. My straps were a little long, so I used some extra fabric and tied the straps together in a racerback shape. Congratualtions on finishing this project!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q7993y9g_po/UELT7ylsizI/AAAAAAAABMk/aKtC_-WOdXo/s1600/IMG_1862.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q7993y9g_po/UELT7ylsizI/AAAAAAAABMk/aKtC_-WOdXo/s320/IMG_1862.JPG" width="173" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ilyQ6mUgHXY/UEK_erCenaI/AAAAAAAABKM/zV4sA7bDtlc/s1600/IMG_1857.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ilyQ6mUgHXY/UEK_erCenaI/AAAAAAAABKM/zV4sA7bDtlc/s320/IMG_1857.JPG" width="249" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Buy extra fabric, just incase!<br />
- If you want braided straps, cut three thick strips to braid. The tighter the braid the skinnier it gets!<br />
- Don't worry if you're fabric seems short, it's supposed to be open back and it'll be longer once you try it on!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t-PVjlQJsTE/UEK_VGyZqcI/AAAAAAAABKE/gXfYy1Pptqk/s1600/IMG_1872.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t-PVjlQJsTE/UEK_VGyZqcI/AAAAAAAABKE/gXfYy1Pptqk/s320/IMG_1872.JPG" width="143" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
This is probably the easiest "dress" I'll probably ever make. It was so easy that I'll probably make more in different colors and patterns! I hope you guys like this DIY and maybe make one when spring/summer comes around again!<br />
<br />
<br />
Keep on crafting!<br />

A few days ago I posted a <a href="http://ifalisoncanyoucan.blogspot.com/2012/08/knitted-headband_24.html">Knitted Headband</a> tutorial, and I've been thinking that it looks pretty plain. While I don't plan on bedazzling it or anything, I'm going to add a few flowers to make it a little more...pretty! Here's my attempt at crocheting a very simple flower! If you're knew to crocheting like me, hopefully this will help you. Keep reading to see how it turned out!<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Q87eZ2Tnk-o/UDf_c9KJRGI/AAAAAAAABIE/sx4iSV0MWyc/s1600/IMG_1756.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="196" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Q87eZ2Tnk-o/UDf_c9KJRGI/AAAAAAAABIE/sx4iSV0MWyc/s200/IMG_1756.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
Materials:<br />
- Crochet hook (I used a 6.5mm!)<br />
- Yarn<br />
- Scissors<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. First, tie your <i>slip knot</i> directly onto your crochet hook. (Check out my <a href="http://ifalisoncanyoucan.blogspot.com/2012/08/knit-cowl-neck-scarf.html">Knit Cowl Neck Scarf</a> tutorial for help!)<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-40r62OcoUnM/UDf3iVrYwgI/AAAAAAAABFE/7ZgDsaBLE_E/s1600/IMG_1735.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="164" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-40r62OcoUnM/UDf3iVrYwgI/AAAAAAAABFE/7ZgDsaBLE_E/s200/IMG_1735.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
<br />
2. One of the beginners crochet stitches to learn is called the <i>chain stitch</i>, which I will be going through today! Start by taking the working end of your yarn and twirl it over your hook.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
3. Pull your hook (with the working yarn tucked in it) under the original loop. This will create another loop/stitch! Keep on going based on the size of the flower you want. This will become the center of your flower! I had eight stitches for this part of my flower! :)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DYu3FuJPnGc/UDf3miynQpI/AAAAAAAABFk/uJuQxcmMBq0/s1600/IMG_1744.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="128" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DYu3FuJPnGc/UDf3miynQpI/AAAAAAAABFk/uJuQxcmMBq0/s200/IMG_1744.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L3dI9UosVlA/UDf3nN3ThUI/AAAAAAAABFs/RFXTtYjf70k/s1600/IMG_1746.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="141" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L3dI9UosVlA/UDf3nN3ThUI/AAAAAAAABFs/RFXTtYjf70k/s200/IMG_1746.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
4. When you're ready to attach one end of your chain to the other, basically you do the same thing you've been doing but with an added step! Find a place where you want the two sides to attach and grab one strand of that chain so that you have two loops on your hook. Now do what you've been doing except pull your working yarn through both of the loops! Congrats! You've just made a small circle, and the middle of your flower.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vIvrdyu1bFI/UDf3nvyttVI/AAAAAAAABF0/MSLuXm4yRIk/s1600/IMG_1747.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="183" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vIvrdyu1bFI/UDf3nvyttVI/AAAAAAAABF0/MSLuXm4yRIk/s200/IMG_1747.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eIjOK483xS0/UDf3pS_9oiI/AAAAAAAABGE/whVE3P4C_1I/s1600/IMG_1750.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="186" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eIjOK483xS0/UDf3pS_9oiI/AAAAAAAABGE/whVE3P4C_1I/s200/IMG_1750.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
5. With this concept, keep going by making chains and linking them to the center circle. You can make five or six petaled flowers based on the spacing of each link-attachment, and how many stitches your petals have. When you're done, tie the extra strings together on the back and trim them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PSUCJtERZwI/UDf3soTWgdI/AAAAAAAABGU/lXbdPxNF4mk/s1600/IMG_1754.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PSUCJtERZwI/UDf3soTWgdI/AAAAAAAABGU/lXbdPxNF4mk/s320/IMG_1754.JPG" width="239" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UstlpGlaQ_U/UDf3uFrvSpI/AAAAAAAABGc/ao-4gMHzzbk/s1600/IMG_1755.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UstlpGlaQ_U/UDf3uFrvSpI/AAAAAAAABGc/ao-4gMHzzbk/s320/IMG_1755.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Congratulations! You just learned how to make a basic crochet flower!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mTg0Z3c6zLA/UDf3wzmNVVI/AAAAAAAABGw/cai4RBg6qzU/s1600/IMG_1757.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mTg0Z3c6zLA/UDf3wzmNVVI/AAAAAAAABGw/cai4RBg6qzU/s320/IMG_1757.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- To keep your petals the same size, count the number of stitches you make.<br />
- Try to keep your crochet hook facing you as you work on your flower.<br />
- If you want your petals to have a space in the middle, just all more stitches to each petal link!<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
I recognize that most crochet flowers are a lot more complicated than the one I'm showing you... but hey! I like that they're flat enough to add to my <a href="http://ifalisoncanyoucan.blogspot.com/2012/08/knitted-headband_24.html">Knitted Headband</a>. I ended up layering three flowers on the side of my headband and I love it! These are so simple to make and if you've never tried crocheting and want to, I highly recommend this!<br />

Hope you liked this post,<br />

Today I wanted to share something that I've been doing for years now and that's making Origami Boxes! You can make these in any size and they are great for holding random, smalls things like... office supplies (push pins, staples etc.), bobby pins, jewelry and whatever you can think of! I use them a lot actually when I eat sunflower seeds and peanuts because you can just throw the box away with the shells!<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xLLfhWfRVmk/UDQnMiXS8hI/AAAAAAAABB8/4Yy1L_CUbcs/s1600/IMG_1803.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="185" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xLLfhWfRVmk/UDQnMiXS8hI/AAAAAAAABB8/4Yy1L_CUbcs/s200/IMG_1803.JPG" width="200" /></a><br />
Materials:<br />
- Piece of paper<br />
<br />
This is the shortest list of materials ever! I'm going to show a lot of pictures for this post, so check it out!<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<u>Steps:</u><br />
<br />
1. Fold your piece of paper in half (the hamburger way!). The open it back up and fold it diagonally, leaving a little bit on the ends (check out the picture). Do this for both sides so you have an "X" in the middle of your paper when you open it up. Now push in along the first crease you made so that you can pinch the 2 sides together.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xUMxTQkTHDc/UDQQORDcpdI/AAAAAAAAA-U/-394z9VsnYo/s1600/IMG_1518.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xUMxTQkTHDc/UDQQORDcpdI/AAAAAAAAA-U/-394z9VsnYo/s200/IMG_1518.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a_KopzN2a0s/UDQQhBStxjI/AAAAAAAABAs/s0wk2jUvN74/s1600/IMG_1539.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a_KopzN2a0s/UDQQhBStxjI/AAAAAAAABAs/s0wk2jUvN74/s200/IMG_1539.JPG" width="178" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m8bzrMFvSzU/UDQQPgY9tnI/AAAAAAAAA-c/96Iud7qy69g/s1600/IMG_1519.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="166" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-m8bzrMFvSzU/UDQQPgY9tnI/AAAAAAAAA-c/96Iud7qy69g/s200/IMG_1519.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G_P5AA9bRHk/UDQQjX2HN6I/AAAAAAAABA8/tymsYqKutHA/s1600/IMG_1800.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G_P5AA9bRHk/UDQQjX2HN6I/AAAAAAAABA8/tymsYqKutHA/s200/IMG_1800.JPG" width="182" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
2. Now push those sides down along the diagonal creases you made. You should have a wide, "house shape" when you're done with this step!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yezZv7OjIIY/UDQQTj--Y5I/AAAAAAAAA-0/tYAybRfQSCc/s1600/IMG_1522.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="189" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yezZv7OjIIY/UDQQTj--Y5I/AAAAAAAAA-0/tYAybRfQSCc/s200/IMG_1522.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eVWCa1uHemE/UDQQU2qWnoI/AAAAAAAAA_E/w9zOvKOADQU/s1600/IMG_1524.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="192" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eVWCa1uHemE/UDQQU2qWnoI/AAAAAAAAA_E/w9zOvKOADQU/s200/IMG_1524.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
3. Next, fold in each side "wing" towards the center of your "house shape". You'll have four "wings" to fold (two on each side).<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L3oRQhs3MYY/UDQQWJfB0QI/AAAAAAAAA_M/YJX_rw7MWKQ/s1600/IMG_1525.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-L3oRQhs3MYY/UDQQWJfB0QI/AAAAAAAAA_M/YJX_rw7MWKQ/s200/IMG_1525.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_199eyAlYxE/UDQQYtP1dYI/AAAAAAAAA_c/WopJik0GrHg/s1600/IMG_1527.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="164" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_199eyAlYxE/UDQQYtP1dYI/AAAAAAAAA_c/WopJik0GrHg/s200/IMG_1527.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IBZIEflwmeU/UDQQaXBPjFI/AAAAAAAAA_k/IfCbrCzc8GQ/s1600/IMG_1528.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IBZIEflwmeU/UDQQaXBPjFI/AAAAAAAAA_k/IfCbrCzc8GQ/s200/IMG_1528.JPG" width="149" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oxauqwg1KZQ/UDQQbHVllgI/AAAAAAAAA_s/KwokUMgcQ8E/s1600/IMG_1529.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="181" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oxauqwg1KZQ/UDQQbHVllgI/AAAAAAAAA_s/KwokUMgcQ8E/s200/IMG_1529.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
4. Great! Now, fold those two flaps at the bottom over so that they are on opposite sides.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YWmd2WjSM08/UDQQcG7SJMI/AAAAAAAAA_8/tN94dQ9MV8w/s1600/IMG_1531.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="177" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YWmd2WjSM08/UDQQcG7SJMI/AAAAAAAAA_8/tN94dQ9MV8w/s200/IMG_1531.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nf3lZFkY60g/UDQQc_XtsLI/AAAAAAAABAE/8COiF-dvyIg/s1600/IMG_1532.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="160" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-nf3lZFkY60g/UDQQc_XtsLI/AAAAAAAABAE/8COiF-dvyIg/s200/IMG_1532.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H70SHHJEQzw/UDQQd1Lj0PI/AAAAAAAABAM/7jQtEDRAxbU/s1600/IMG_1533.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="151" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H70SHHJEQzw/UDQQd1Lj0PI/AAAAAAAABAM/7jQtEDRAxbU/s200/IMG_1533.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sBv7sUtrTa8/UDQQeUcWpPI/AAAAAAAABAU/BMsGKjkAzkk/s1600/IMG_1534.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="153" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sBv7sUtrTa8/UDQQeUcWpPI/AAAAAAAABAU/BMsGKjkAzkk/s200/IMG_1534.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
5. Open up your Origami Box, and its ready to be used!<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nwBwhenMs_s/UDQQe11YkHI/AAAAAAAABAc/jCQUTyldBjk/s1600/IMG_1535.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="175" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-nwBwhenMs_s/UDQQe11YkHI/AAAAAAAABAc/jCQUTyldBjk/s200/IMG_1535.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e17wJkiAHdY/UDQQf9WnWhI/AAAAAAAABAk/GCrDlkYel-0/s1600/IMG_1536.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="138" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e17wJkiAHdY/UDQQf9WnWhI/AAAAAAAABAk/GCrDlkYel-0/s200/IMG_1536.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What I've learned:<br />
<br />
- Describing origami in words gets weird, so I hope the pictures helped!<br />
- Making those creases at the beginning help a lot later on.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-am1AOkI7wN0/UDQQiTr3XaI/AAAAAAAABA0/XtJkG-MqR0c/s1600/IMG_1540.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="284" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-am1AOkI7wN0/UDQQiTr3XaI/AAAAAAAABA0/XtJkG-MqR0c/s320/IMG_1540.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I like to make a whole bunch at once, so that they'll be ready whenever you need them! I love storing a whole bunch inside one opened box because it looks neat and they're easy to grab. If you want to try this, just grab an old magazine and go to work while you're on the couch watching TV. Before you know it, you'll have a whole box filled!<br />
<br />
Hope you guys liked this post!<br />
